So i'm interested to find out, can anyone play 5e without all the wells and bhistles? I'd like to try a game using only the free Basic Rules pdf from the wizards website. No PHB, very few maps, and a world of our own devising. Meaning that all of the deities and some of the baked-in 5e lore might not be appropriate.
