
Short: Thursdays - 8:00pm Eastern until 11:00pm Eastern Game: 4th Edition DnD Slots: 1, maybe 2 - Defender or Leader or Hybrid needed (2nd level) Limits: Core rule books only (DM has had bad experiences going willy nilly with all published powers) Long: We have had scheduling problems which over a week cost us two of our players. They cannot be resolved and our group is now down to 3. They are: The Bard - musically keeping the spirits of the party high and in fighting shape. The Ranger - Deadly accuracy at range and high mobility to stay there The Wizard - Frost and ice to control the field. The Story So Far: Breakwater was once described as the place that most pirate ports sent their unwelcomes. With the rise of Marquis Falconer it has become a reputable port of call for all shipping and is the fastest growing city in the realm. From this home, our party has ventured out. The party took a contract to collect a commission from an artist who has failed to deliver the promised sculpture. They investigated her retreat and found an immaculate sculpture of a woman, but not the commissioned work. A band of kobolds attacked them demanding the statue for themselves. The kobolds were dispatched and tracked back to their lair. There they discovered instructions from in draconic to collect and hold the statue. They explored the catcombs under the lair, defeated a knight-king's ghost, rescued a sorceress, and then ventured towards the surface where a dragon was waiting. The dragon demanded his tribute and instead was put to the blade. Returning to town they learned that the statue they had found was the spitting image of the sculptress. Magically it was confirmed that she was trapped in the marble. Since they did not know the nature of the magic they set out to find the dragon's lair with hope to discover a way to free the woman from her marble prison. While in the swamps near the lair the have been attacked by the diminutive but aggressive swamp dwelling races. Our game has been light, fun, and punctuated with encounters designed for team play and story. While we've had some scheduling recently we were knocking out a good time and a good puzzle every week. New players will start at 2nd level with appropriate gear and a single magic item of equally appropriate level.
