So I'm brand new to DMing and want an easy going group. It's a custom campaign so it has some custom features i whipped up for it along with multiple goals to choose from. I have 3 spots open in my UK game; which will start at 7pm GMT (12 my time) on tuesdays. I plan on using google hangouts for communication.

just wondering why people do not use the builtin voice and vidio chat in roll20. is there a problam with it i am un aware of?

TokBox kinda sucks... google hangouts also have awesome things like the Hangout Toolbox app which you can use to add your character name as a banner at the bottom. I also made a custom overlay for the toolbox which has my character's armor class and defenses which are big enough to be seen even in the small window.
