Making the scale bigger for atmosphere... how?

Hi guys, I'm trying r20 for the first time, and after much footering I'm making good progress. I'm working with Pathfinder's 'Among the Living' which I ran in RL a few days ago. The problem I'm having is with the scale - I want to making the floorplan seem big, impressive, etc. So I was thinking making each grid on the map four grids of r20, then changing the scale setting so 1 square = 1.2ft. Which means a map grid square would have four r20 grids in it. Then just a case of making the map massive. Would this work? I seem to be struggling with it. I'm not familiar with the r20 system so lots of trial and error!
Meh. Not 1.2ft, 2.5ft. That means you still move in line with the Paizo map grid.

I'm slightly confused by your description.

Ok. If you have the map currently aligned to the grid, you can right click it, choose Advanced , Set Dimensions , select Units , then double the numbers for the width and height. Then in the page settings, change the scale to be 2.5 instead of 5.
Yeah. Sods law. I post to ask for help and I suss it shortly after. I've done just as you suggested and it looks fine - much, much more impressive. Now a character token is about the right size to be sitting on one of the seats at the bar and the distance units work fine. Now I just need to figure out how to run a game!!!
On which note, if I have an area out of the game map that's hidden in the fog of war, can I hide tokens in there for quick access?
put them on the Gm layer right where you want them to appear.
Cheers! Lots of daft questions today. I had hoped to have a mate online so he could sit as a player and tell me what was happening as I made changes but he's unable to make it so I'm phaffing around on my own.

You can open another copy of the VTT and then in setting click Re-Join as Player . Then you can check things out from a player point of view. Be sure to give yourself control of a token so when you're a player you have something to interact with. =D

Just a note: measuring when the scale is set to 2.5 will result in fractional measurements (using the measuring tool). What is the scale of the original image? The problem I see with making an image big like that is that players will just zoom out to bring things into perspective.
