Cards: text only?

I'm trying to make a deck where the cards have nothing but text. However, it seems like the only way to do so is create an image file of a picture of the text. Sure, I can do that, but it's a lot of work and wasted graphics storage. I've already noticed that I can give cards really long names, but that never displays anywhere during usage. Am I missing something obvious? Any ideas / hints?

No, you are not missing anything obvious. At this time there is no way to generate a card with just text. As you have already determined, you need to create an image with the text on it and then use that image.
