Dark Heresy

I have a someone willing to DM or be a PC, but it wouldn't be for a little; but if they're a PC they could jump in possibly next week; if DMing a few weeks as he's tied up. We're trying to start a 5 player group, and a DM, 6 people, including myself. DM: (Possibly filled, depending.) PC 1: Timeless Requiem PC 2: (Possibly filled, depending.) PC 3: PC 4: PC 5: Post in and weither you'd prefer to be a PC or DM. Slots filled as spoken for. Possibly filled, depending is referring to my friend.
Hello there. I wouldn't mind joining this Dark Heresy campaign as a PC. I have played a little bit of DH and I GM for a group, though I'm still a noob. I know quite a bit about 40k lore, so there's not much problem there. My skype is Zack.Irish.
Hello, I would love to join as a PC, never played before but I have spent the last few weeks reading the rule book and getting familiar with the game world. I am new to the world's lore however (part of my drive to play) but am quick to learn.
@Patrick - If you want to learn some more about the setting without reading a tone of novels and source books here is a youtube playlist I found that is all about "fluff" for the setting: http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL280A71708CB758B5&feature=plcp Some of the videos are a little boring and not particularly useful (You would be hard pressed to find a time that you really needed to know how the emperial date system works), but some of it is really good (Especially the stuff about the Chaos Gods, weapons, and the Primarchs)
Hey if you still have a spot I’d love to join, I’ve played a few games as a PC and have just started to learn to GM. I also know quite abit of 40k lore from playing the tabletop game.
@Elliott - Thanks Man!
Here is a quick 1 min lore of the 40k universe http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-MeVxKZBOfM
As it stands currently; DM: Elliott Moshell - But he needs some time to set up and prepare. PC 1: Timeless Requiem PC 2: Zack Irish PC 3: Patrick Schroeter PC 4: GordoFreeman PC 5: Still looking for one more, unless someone drops out, and I will have a list for back up players that are interesed incase some do back out, or if I find another game; I can refer them there. Like I said; he needs some time as his schedule is busy for a bit. So if you just keep back to the post; we can keep in contact. I would also say to start coming up with a few ideas for a character, like I'm wanting to play a Tech-Priest; and am working on learning all or most of their lore.
Sounds great! I will be playing a scum named Ren Creed.
Awesome :) I think I might try playing a cleric rather than my traditional grizzled guard vet. Just don’t ask for too many sermons as my cleric shows his faith through the action of cleansing heresy (burn baby burn)
I was thinking Tech-Priest or Psycher, but wouldn't mind playing any class that was needed.
I haven't played this before, but I can pick it up rather quick.
You're in the boat I'm in, well almost. I haven't played in a while and forget a lot. So I am relearning. I'll add you to the roster Snapzilla.
Current Roster, still room for extras incase others drop out, and if I find another game for Dark Heresy, I'll refer the extras to it. DM: Elliott Moshell - But he needs some time to set up and prepare. PC 1: Timeless Requiem PC 2: Zack Irish PC 3: Patrick Schroeter PC 4: GordoFreeman PC 5: Snapzilla Elliott is hereby carries the most weight in what he says as he is DM. He will inform of his rules/books and setting when he has the time.
@Snapzilla It looks pretty easy to pick up, I hope that's not my brain tricking me. @Timeless Let Elliot know I won't be rushing him. though I do look forward to his rulings so we can get characters out of the way.
He should be looking at the thread every now and then himself. Though I have a few ideas to throw to him, so that he has a few ideas prior to work off of, though nothing major.
Yes I promis I will outline some details on character creation by tomorrow night. It is rather late where I am now so i need sleep, but I will get you something to work with asap :)
Sweet, can't wait to figure it out. I mostly play pathfinder so this will be a nice addition.
Ok Character Creation Guidelines (Subject to change at my discretion): - You can use anything out of the Core and Inquisitors handbook, with the exception of the Sororitas. I will allow a Sororitas character (It will be the Inquisitor Handbook version) if someone really wants to play them but there will be a few tweaks to it, mostly in starting equipment. I may allow things from other books but they will be on a case by case basis, the reason for this is that I have not fully studied some of the other books and I would rather look up specific things that you may want rather than relying on my partial knowledge of the other books to ok it. - Ability scores will either be rolled randomly as stated in the book or will be done with a point buy system, I will leave it up to all of you which you want to do. If we do rolled abilities then we will have to do it on the table some time before the game starts (not necessarily all together at one time though). - Starting Gelt will be as it is stated on table 1-9 but you get half of the added die with a minimum of 5 (Example 1: Assassin gets 120+3d10 Gelt, so you get to start with 120+15 Gelt. 15 being half of what you could get from your roll. Example 2: Scum get 10+1d5 Gelt, So you would get 10+5 Gelt because you get a minimum of 5 from the die modifier). Hopefully that is not too confusing. - We may be adapting the Rate of Fire rules from Black Crusade or I may just tweak them myself a bit, just giving you a heads up. If you have a strong opinion on this one way or another then message me about it privately. I will make a conversation when I finish typing this that will include all of you where you can ask question is you have any. Lets try not to ask questions on this thread so that it can be left uncluttered for the purpose of recruiting players if needed.
hello, are there still a game running? and if so can i join it? im new to warhammer 40k RPG but not the universe. im not aviable thuesdays and thursdays but any other day is fine. i live in Denmark (GMT+2 i think).
Open letter to Wafty: stop necro'ing threads. If you feel the need to check up on a long-dormant game, send a private message to whoever you feel is relevant. (In case you don't know how to send a private message, as some people have had trouble finding it, click their name above their post, then click Send NAME a Message on the far right side of the window)
sorry didnt know it was irretating people to ask them about if they where running games since it have been 2 months since the last post. but i will go for the preivate message next time.
