{Interest Check] Wasteland/Fallout setting DnD 3.5/Sci-Fi Setting

So lately i have been playing Wasteland and Fallout. I have also DMed a DnD 3.5 group for a year straight now, and we recently switched over to Star Wars RPG 3.5. I find myself wanting to try a Fallout style setting. Radiation Walls, Mutated animals, Psycic humans(basically using the force rules), super mutants, energy weapons, ect. It would be a one-shot amalgam of DnD, Star Wars, and homebrew nuclear fallout settings. As an idea for the initial quest. The four players live in the small town of Goldsprings. Nestled on the south face of a mountain, it has water from a clean flowing underground aquifer in Mt. Weather. The Town has a wall of sheet metal and barbed wire. The town itself occupys an old Theme park, the rides have been scrapped and canabalized to build the wall up, save for one - The Power Tower - a large tower in the center of the town. Outside of the town is where water is collected, a short 1/2 mile distance to the aquifer pools. A small guard is kept at the water source and snipers oversee the town and keep watch for raiders. Mt. Weather used to be mined for gold, so it has a bunch of tunnells. One thing you lack is batteries to power the power tower - the ride that grants your town saftey and security via a set of a half dozen snipers that basically live up top. You also use batteries to recharge radios and such. There is a vault nearby, your town drew lots and you all got the short straw. Your mission for the town is to get to the north side of mount weather. A Vault run. Vault 62 when it was built had solar panals inside for when they come out. They have since exited their vault and have been selling the power frm their solar panals. Your job is to take the empty batteries to them, exchange them for charged ones, and get the Bat Packs back to the town to give them another months power. You can attempt to climb the mountain, you can attempt to take the tunnels which are often used by mutated animals and outlaws as temporary shelter. Sometimes they get lost inside and come out your end. Or you can try to take a road around through a valley to the west then circle back to the vault. Though the valley has an enemy raider camp your town ahs been plauged by. The Blood Cleavers. If anyone has any interest feel free to post here or add treetop_san to your skype and let me know. If this is done competently it could be a real good idea, and i would love to be part of it. Been playing as both a GM and player for some 20 years now, but now mostly play 3.5, but im willing to learn and adapt. Send me a pm with your contact info if your interested in having me as a player.
i would like to think i can do it competently. especially because it has been on my mind recently. id love to have you as a player, we just need three others now. lol.
i want to list some sample encounters and storylines but if we do end up playing then i dont want you to know them.
