Alright so I'm running a text based group that meats wednesday at 9-10 pst, 12-1 est, and im not sure what gmt, but it is a gmt friendly game. We play by text as one of us is not a fluid english speaker. We haven't really made it too far into the ap. Currently the party is a ranger and a hobgoblin cavalier

May I suggest making sure that, if you're text-based, you at least double-check your punctuation and spelling? Your post, as it stands, doesn't give the impression so much of a non-native speaker as of someone struggling with coherent thought in general. Note, that I am not a native speaker of English myself.
