Ajax Will Be Running Hoard of the Dragon Queen 5E New Players Welcome

I will be running the Campaign Hoard of the Dragon Queen in a week or so, I am already playing in a campaign running it and want to get far enough ahead in that campaign that I don't have any overlapping/spoiler issues. That said... All players are welcome but please don't apply if you are unreliable. The campaign will be open to 6 players, no evil alignments, Dragonborn, Gnome, and Tiefling must have a logical background story or they will not be allowed. All potential players will Use the following array for character creation 16, 15, 14, 12, 10, 8 before racial adjustments (there will be no exceptions so don't ask). Level 1, full hit points... This campaign will feature scripted macros and a unique character sheet which is easily filled out in a matter of minutes... If you are a New Player and would simply like a PreGenerated Character, they can be provided... If you are unfamiliar with the rules you can obtain the Basic Rules for Free here: <a href="http://media.wizards.com/downloads/dnd/DnDBasicRules.pdf" rel="nofollow">http://media.wizards.com/downloads/dnd/DnDBasicRules.pdf</a> The sessions for this will run 3 hours, from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM CST (midwest USA)... The day will be either Wednesday or Thursday, players will be expected to be on time. Players showing up 15 minutes early will receive an XP Bonus! We will use either Skype of Hangouts for the Chat connection, there will be NO video used... There is a House Rule which I will mention here as it may affect someone's decision on whether they would want to play or not: The party will be allowed only two Short Rests per day and during a Short Rest you must consume 1 pound of food and drink 1 pint of water... Game also will use the Encumbrance Variant... If you are interested in joining this campaign post something here about a character concept or if you are a New Player requesting a PreGen, also post which day you would prefer, Wednesday or Thursday... When will this START: when 4 to 6 serious players have shown some interest, then the day will be finalized. I expect to Bump this Post frequently... Thank you -Ajax
I'm interested in signing up to play on Wednesdays, so here's for the group swinging toward that! I've never had a chance to play with an Encumbrance variant that was strictly enforced, so that's particularly exciting. As to my experience with 5E, I'm currently running LMoP on Thursday nights, but I haven't had much of a chance to play. Any other house rules? Regarding a character concept, I've been told that players should really find a reason to hate Tiamat or dragons, sooo: Torunn is a Human Sorcerer from the Iluskan north. Her bloodline is draconic, and her family has served an evil dragon for generations. She has escaped their clutches and has spent the past year living on the run as she travels south, slowly coming to terms with her powers and learning to use them with the eventual hope being that she can stand against the dragon that has dominated her life. She's likely somewhere between CG and CN-- she's a realist, and while she'd happily dismantle the power structure of a local duke serving a dragon, she won't rush headlong into danger to save a few peasants who couldn't protect themselves. She's headstrong and willful, with a dark sense of humor.
I'm a very interested in playing. I would like to run either a wizard or fighter. The concept or story behind them being, that their village and home was destroyed by dragons when they where young. growing up an orphan vowing to get revenge for what dragons had done to his family and life/.
Hi! I'm new here and really interested in playing this campaign. I have never played a campaign in real life or otherwise but I have listened to and watched over 60 hours of Campaigns so I am well acquainted in the mechanics and rules in play here, so all I'd need help with is the character creation. I can come up with the name and back story I just don't yet know what race or roles to pick. I'd be happy playing as anything you'd need me to be and Wednesday and Thursday are both perfectly fine for me to play. I hope you choose to let me in, thanks!
Hey there, I'd love to join this campaign as a Woodelf Rogue - he's the orphan turned criminal, trying to redeem himself in utilising his tendencies, to be slightly cutthroat, for a greater good, but might stray from his greater goal due to old habits. I am not the most experienced player, but I have a few sessions (4e and 5e) behind me and am very eager to play. Wednesday and thursday are great days for me as well. I'd really appreciate if you'd consider me, have a great day in any case.
Hi Ajax, I'm interested in playing a Wizard, Barbarian, or Rogue, whatever the group needs. Wizard being my first preference. Ilnezhara Windrunner, High Elf wizard of the Moonwood. She sought adventure from a young age, after some brief tutelage under the care of her parents. A "folk hero" adventurer through and through, she lives for the next adventure, to live life to the fullest, helping the goodly folk of faerun along the way.
I'm interested in playing, completely new to trpg, but I understand the basic concept. I would be completely fine using a pre-gen character to start with, and I'm good on Thursdays.
Any room? ready to play!
Looking to join if there is still room available. Pregen char is fine. I can only make Wednesdays. The timing couldn't be more perfect.
Hey, interested in joining your campaign with a preference for wednesdays. Based in the UK, so would be at 1pm for me, wednesday is my day off from university, but I can probably make thursdays as well.I have 40-ish hours of roll20 under my belt, along with a few months of playing 3.5e once or twice a week, and probably about 1-200 hours of d&d watched on twitch/youtube/whatever. I know the basics of 5e, and have a half-orc barbarian semi written up already.
Christian I think that would be 1:00 AM....
I am hoping to start this next week and I think things are leaning toward Wednesday as the day of the week we will play November 26th, 2014 at 7:00 PM CST. This, of course would be the day before Thanksgiving. I will start firing out PMs with the Campaign Link so the potential players can get their characters into the game before the actual starting session. Again let me make this perfectly clear, please do not apply if you do not intend to play reliably. This campaign uses most of the bells and whistles that Roll20 provides and New Players will find it quite easy to get into the game, and veterans will find the campaign a challenging and enjoyable experience with plenty of Role Playing opportunities... -Ajax
Hello there Ajax. I see you are proposing possibly Wednesday or Thursday for a game time. I have commitments at church every other Wednesday so I cannot play then, but if , by chance, you wind up playing on Thursday I would like to be considered for a spot. I would be interested in play Lystolar Valeris , a wood elf druid. Lystolar was always on outsider, and preferred the deep wilds to even his clan's village. He spent decades communing with the land and deepening his connection with it. He would visit the village periodically to trade for goods he needed in the wilds. On his last visit to the village he found all of his people dead or missing. There were dragon and humanoid tracks all around the village, so he is travelling now to find allies to go after the beasts that killed his people.
Hey, I'm a new player but familiar with the basics and generally how tabletop works. I've played once before on roll20 but not 5E. I'm eager to learn and actually get some experience under my belt. Your game sounds like a fantastic oppotunity for me to do that. I have a halfling rogue PC I could probably tweak for the game but wouldn't mind having a pre-gen either. The times and days work well for me so no preference for which day.
This campaign is now full, with 7 players and the time has been established to be Wednesday Night 7:00 PM CST to 10:00 PM CST... I will inform anyone else who did not get an invite, there are a number of them, if a spot should open up. Thanks to all who responded. -Ajax
