Question about Hex-maps

Hey guys, First of all sorry if this has been asked before, but I could not find it. I am trying to make a hex-based world map that is covered by the Fog-of-War for the first time. Then when players explore the world, I want to reveal it to them one hex at a time. Now I am running into problems with the reveal tool and the snap-to-grid function. It seems to still snap to the original square grid instead of the hex based grid that is visible in the map. It snaps to the invisible square grid perfectly, allowing me to make great squares but that's not what I am trying to do. http://imgur.com/DsnQXwu Here are my current settings: http://imgur.com/pjrpE5h I hope you guys are able to help me out!
I am doing the same thing, but I'm using dynamic lighting instead. Just adding light to tokens as the players explore the map.
So you just remove parts of the dynamic lighting as they 'discover' a hex so it reveals itself?
Basically you create tokens for each hex with a light radius of what the players can see, then keep adding tokens to relevant areas as they explore with similar lighting, changing the light radius of relevant objects as they explore. There was a great thread and example of that in a previous thread: https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/1245626/#post-12...
Ahh right. That is interesting.
