Alternate Roll20 Layouts (or even bespoke layouts)

Though I've used Roll20 to run occasional games and play stuff like Hero Quest online my current setup means I use it a little differently to normal. My group has been playing together in a face to face setting for the past six or seven years; about a month ago one of our group fled the country and relocated to Canada. So our face to face setup has changed to me using a laptop and a second laptop hooked up to the TV (with our now Canadian player connecting remotely). It all worked very well but did give me some thoughts on a few little things that I think could help with projector / TV style setups (I know a few people on the forums use Roll20 at conventions or as a tool in face to face groups) as well as generally making things a bit more flexible So currently when you log onto Roll20 you get something that is laid out like so... Given the way we're using it now, the main screen basically gets fixed statically on the map and the first think I do is close the sidebar for more screen space (the players in general have no use for it, but I keep it open on my laptop to access tokens and so forth); the two slightly annoying things are the way the menu bar and the webcams obscure parts of the map so every now and then I did have to grab the mouse for the laptop and scroll things. It would be really helpful if there were some way to move other elements around the screen or even remove them (in the way that you can collapse the sidebar and the pages top bar); though possibly a bit unusual for most setups, since we don't particularly need to see ourselves it would be even nicer if we could move or close down the webcams individually. My setup would probably look something like this... You could possibly have a few different layouts to suit, but obviously nothing is going to fit everything so I think it'd be really handy if you could move the elements individually. I guess I think of this as kind of an expansion on the 'pop out' character sheets and chat suggestion which recently got added to the dev server (and is the reason I'm now a mentor). Who knows, for some people this might be an ideal layout...

in the meantime -- another user called The Aaron on here can explain / give you a workaround method for hiding the parts you want to hide. He has posted it before. Look on this thread, https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/1174957/hide-ui#... Note: Your suggestion is still valid. This is just posted to help anyone who wants to do something to hide parts of the user interface for now.
That's extremely helpful Gold, I might need to tweak it a little bit but it's a very handy little bookmarklet - thank you.

Woo, The Aaron! Your bookmarklet is great, I'll give it a proper field test in our next session but at least until this suggestion makes any headway I'm sure it will be great.

Good, can't wait to hear! I'd love to have custom themes for Roll20. I'd definitely buy some in the Market Place.
