Campaign Page: https://app.roll20.net/campaigns/details/594799/he... Background Centuries ago, the city of Hell's Gate coalesced to support the vile prison of the despotic Overlord in his flying castle and his wicked sorcerer, Olred the Mad. In the two-hundred years since the Overlord was overthrown and his floating fortress destroyed, like many of the cities under his rule, Hell's Gate became a crime-ridden near-anarchic city state, barely able to hold on to any semblance of civilization. Some of the hellish prison's inmates were set loose and many settled in Hell's Gate. Rumors of some chaotic force thriving at the bottom of that stinking pit have brought many an adventurer to Hell's Gate in search of fame and fortune... Schedule 7PM CST on most Saturdays. There will be some weekends (especially during the holidays) where we'll have to miss a session, due to the occasional social obligation or whatever. This Tuesday, 7PM to midnight December 2nd, I'll be in the campaign and on Skype to assist with character creation if anyone needs it. I may be able to do this again on Thursday, December 4th from 8PM to midnight. The first session is this coming Saturday, December 6th. Tools We'll be using Roll20 for displaying some charts and rules with occasional maps to clarify things. For communication, we'll be using Skype for video (optional) and audio. System We'll be playing this campaign using Swords & Wizardry Complete from Frog God Games. Essentially a re-organized OD&D with the original supplementary material, there are some clarifications and interpretations where the source material was unclear. All classes and races listed in S&W Complete are available to players. Players are welcome to either use Roll20's S&W character sheet or print one of their own. The same applies to dice rolls - you can roll real dice or use the dice roller in Roll20. We're all here to have fun, so it's suggested that treasure and magic items found be evenly distributed among the party. The group should also strive to be a cohesive adventuring party and not have goals or attitudes that clash too much with each other (e.g. don't roleplay a reclusive loner). I will leave it to the PCs to police themselves in this or in-game disputes of any other sort.
