2 players LF a 4e campaign

My friend and I are currently looking to join a 4e campaign. We are both fairly familiar with the 4e system having played it a few times already. Eberron or FR would be fine with either of us. We are open to starting a new campaign or joining one in progress.

I would be interested in playing in a 4e FR campaign. I have run DnD FR campaigns on and off since 1989. I'm okay to play any role in a 4e game. What time (time zone), day of the week are you guys interested in? If we team up, we are one or two players and a GM short. ;-) Rich

We are in EST(GMT -5) and I think Sunday is more or less the only day available to us. What time on Sunday, as long as it isn't super late or super early, is fine with us. That is the one thing that concerns me about trying to get/find a game on here is finding someone to DM. Hopefully we'll get lucky and find someone who is interested.

I'd be willing to join up. I'd play a melee striker.

Ill see if I can hunt down a DM for a Sunday game. That day is actually really good for me. Are you guys open to any campaign setting? What roles are you guys (Galen and friend) looking to play?

He mentioned playing a healer if I was to play a defender. If we went that route, which probably isn't a terrible idea, I would play a Warforged Warden and he said he would might end up playing a Cleric or a Druid.

I would be interested if you still haven't found enough people. I'm down for one Sunday to see how it works. I currently have an Deva Illusionist Wizard at level 1 set up.

Well we still need to find a DM so hopefully someone will volunteer.

Well... I'm extremely familiar w/ 4e, but I've never DM'd before. So if you guys don't mind dealing with a nub DM I'll give it a go. I'll probably just run a module to learn how to do things a bit better.

If so should we all roll up our characters and shoot them over to Eric, ASAP? Do you have a preference regarding character generation?

I'm fine with having someone who is new to DM'ing. Just keep this thread updated and we'll go from there. Eric, were you just wanting to run one module and then be done with it? I know the question wasn't directed at me but I would like to give my thoughts on it. As far as character generation goes I'm not a fan of being restricted to a very small percentage of the material available. I've tried making characters when being restricted to PHB 1 & 2 and while I was able to do it I was not a fan of it. I saw so many other abilities that I wanted rather than the ones I was stuck with.

If Eric doesn't like it after the one shot, I may be able to run a campaign or pull from this group for my other campaign or both!!!! Il send privae messages to all and get a site going to collaborate. Eric do you want to start a roll20 campaign and then share the link so we can meet up.

Rich, I have a Drow Assassin (Executioner) made, if you don't mind D&D Insider's builder made chara's. I'll take some screen shots if you want me to.

Timeless that's interesting that you are going to be playing a Drow Assassin. I was playing one in the most recent campaign I was in.

I love Drow, and hell, I like to play situational characters... the poisons, with the DMs consent do not kill, they rather drive the person permanently insane, and cause permanent scarring. Id Moss Powder and Ungol Dust are awesome. ;P

As far as characters are concerned im not super restrictive.... any race from PHB 1,2,3 is fine. I have access to a DDI sub so I don't mind any of the classes except for the Hybrid. Just sent you my character and exported DDI file Eric, the mannerisms aren't on the sheet/file, so I added them to the email.

Yeah, those poisons always seemed pretty cool to me. I played a regular Assassin so I got a bit more flexibility and a 3 square at-will teleport, though I never really used it. I honestly can't say I wouldn't play an Assassin again though. The concept of the class and stuff is really nice but I think that when it comes down to playing one it feels lacking. Eric, I sent you an email with my stuff in it.

How funny, my daughter plays a Drow Assassin in my pre-spellplague (yet 4e) campaign I am running. Eric, I will shoot you an email tonight with my dnd4e file and a pdf. I also have the dndi subscription. Ill use that for character creation. Should I use the optional Theme and Background. I suppose I should if everyone else will be. :-) Just wanted to check first...

Galen's friend here. I've sent my wood elf bow wielding cleric to you Eric. Also as someone who has just recently finished his first campaign as a DM I can tell you that although it seemed a bit rocky at the very start the players and I had fun (which is what really matters). It also got easier and more enjoyable with each session. Hopefully it will be enjoyable for you as well.

Personally I would rather just go with what we have so we don't have six people when/if Corbin can join us next time. If everyone else wants another person then it would be alright I guess. Do you need help making a character?

i have hero creator but i need a few things... its the controller whos missing so i planned on playing invoker i think although i would have to learn as i go. whats the ability system? rolling or buy? if you guys have skype add me xnowx it will prob b easier

While I don't want to belittle controllers, and people who choose to play them, we would probably be better off if you played a striker. In case Corbin comes back, having two controllers isn't going to be the best idea in the world.

Nope. We've ran the campaign the past two Sundays. Haven't seen you or heard from you at all. Didn't hear from you when we ran that other campaign last Tuesday. Figured you gave up on Roll20. We're all full up now though. Sorry.
