Compatibility with gaming platforms

For a long time the only way I had to access the internet was through my PS3. I think it would be a good idea to develop some sort of app or program to allow easier access for those who use a PS3/PS4, Xbox360/1 and Wii/WiiU.

I think you might I have a "lucrative" suggestion here. In a market of nearly 20 million consoles(ps4 and xbox one) sold, I think offering a Roll20 app to console gamers is smart business.
I suppose it wouldn't be impossible for Roll20 to make an app for the consoles, but it would basically have to be a full featured web browser, or at least include most of the things a full featured web browser has. But it wouldn't be any kind of issue at all if Microsoft and Sony would let you install a decent browser in the first place.
Maybe something disc based, like the way Netflix used to do it? I'm completely computer illiterate so have no idea about the actual execution, just throwing ideas.

Both systems support a market place and the sales and download of software. Adding a disc would actually be more expensive than a download, especially since all your users would require internet access anyway. Good idea though, with the Update of Holding targeting in person games and non traditional hardware, this seems like it would fit right in.
Just wanted to revive this conversation. I would love a Roll20 app for Xbox. Soeaking as someone who foolishly invested in an Xbox One with Kinect bundle, it would be great if I could use the xbox camera as my Roll20 webcam. The selection of apps for Xbone is really bad, actually embarrassingly bad. I would think a Roll20 app would be hugely popular if only just because people are grasping for anything interesting, and it might open up an entirely new market. I don't think it needs to offer full GM capacity, it can just offer player options. If its just streaming video, tabletop and dice I think that would be fine. If you could incorporate Smartglass for character sheets and messaging that would be amazing. I would actually be willing to pay for that.
