Miranda. It was going to bring down the Alliance. And when the broadcast went out, everyone was duly shocked. Voices were raised, and heads rolled. A few literally. Things changed. Until they didn't. The news cycle kept on going, and a plague showed up on Ariel. Then a politician on Londonium got caught with an unregistered Companion. Then the first resettlers landed on Shadow. And slowly, Miranda just fell into the background. One more thing the Alliance did, but it was so long ago, what can be done? The wheel never stops turning. On the 10th anniversary of the end of the rebellion, the Alliance announced their new project to bring civilization to the Border Planets. The Trans-Alliance Interstellar Navigation System (or TRAINS, for short) was a breakthrough courtesy of the Blue Sun Corporation, a series of gates that promised to speed transport to the border planets from weeks to days, eventually hours. The Alliance will finally encompass all human worlds. No matter what... I'm judging interest in this campaign, a Firefly game set 2-3 years after the events of Serenity, with the crew of a small ship trying to deal with the ever-expanding Alliance gaining a toehold in the Rim, rising tensions, and a potential end to their way of life. This would be a role-play heavy campaign, with the events of the show and movie being canon. Comics and other materials may be mined for ideas, but they don't define my vision of the 'Verse. Voice and camera would be required. I'm most familiar with Google Hangouts, so that's likely what would be used.If interested, please post here! Let me know if you have an idea for a character, too. Characters need not be combat-focused. In fact, characters don't even need to be combat-effective. I'll take an interesting pacifist who will be fun to play with over a gun bunny who can kill everyone in the room with no personality any day of the week!
