Another Hoard of the Dragon Queen Campaign - Sunday Night 7:00 PM CST

Ajax is going to run another Hoard of the Dragon Queen Campaign. Due to some conflicts I have suspended the game I was running on Sunday Night to add another HoDQ game. This campaign features fully scripted macros and uses many of the Roll20 Bells and Whistles. The Game will Play Sunday Nights 7:00PM CST until 10:00PM CST. Sessions start promptly on time. Here are the Character Creation Rules: Ability scores use this array 16, 15, 14, 12, 10, 8 (no exceptions) these are modified by Race, the Human Variant is also allowed. Restricted Races Dragonborn, Drow, Gnome, and Tiefling (must have approval), Restricted Classes Barbarian, Druid, and Paladin (must have approval), No multi-classing until level 4, full hit points at level 1 then 1/2 hit dice +1 + Con. If you are interested in playing in this campaign, which will start next week Dec 21st post a character concept here (or request a Pre Generated character) and I will send you a Link. All characters must be created and functional by Game Time Next week. All characters will be given a Bond to build a background around, -Ajax
Elf. Rogue. Background is Pirate, however his crew recent disbanded and he is hoping to turn over a new leaf and be more heroic. Also, if I make the cut, I believe one of the bonds in HotDQ is about trying to rescue an old elven friend or halfling friend something like that, could I get that bond?
Also, I should mention that there may be times where I need to leave for like 10 minutes to pick up my better half from work. I understand if this counts me out. But wanted to be straight forward, it normally does not take any longer than 15 minutes.
How many people do you plan on inviting?
I think I would be interested in this, but I am a new player. If there would be someone willing to meet with me on Skype or something to help me understand what to do I would love to join in.
New players will find this very easy, the characters are fully macro'ed so there is not a huge learning curve... I will open the campaign to 7 players, this will usually guarantee at least 4 players per session. This campaign features detailed maps and encounters that are easily adaptable for immediate group size... Two of the spots are already taken, a bard and a barbarian, so 5 more players will be accepted... For new players I would recommend using one of the Pre Generated Characters as they are fully scripted and ready to go... I usually use Hangouts for the Chat Connection however if it is incompatible for some players then skype can be used... -Ajax
If there's still room I'd like to join. I was thinking about being a Half-Orc fighter. His background would be noble I suppose. His viscountess mother essentially got knocked up by an Orog during an orc raid. Most of his family is ashamed of him since he's part orc. They train him to be a soldier for them and he hates the lack of respect he gets from his family so he decides to go off to adventure and prove that he's worth a damn.
In that case, I would love to take a spot! I have a character background I have been playing with: Vhalorna Edgewood is an orphan found at the edge of a mysterious forest when she was still an infant. Nothing is known of her parentage, though she appears to be human. She has grown up in a small village near the forest in the orphanage that Isis, the woman who found her works. Vhalorna is a gentle girl, she has only had one magical outburst, a drunkard attempted to attack her and in her panic the magic burst from her, killing the man. She is about 15 years old and is currently on the run, terrified that she is in trouble for defending herself.

Mountain Dwarf warlock named Orsik. Orsik had a nasty gambling problem and never knew when to call it quits. After losing everything gold piece to his name, he sought out loan sharks to feed his gambling addiction, convinced that he could win everything back. Unfortunately lady luck had given him no breaks, and stripped him once again of every coin. After finding this out, the loan sharks showed Orsik that they were not to be taken lightly by killing his wife and his only daughter. Completely devastated from losing his family, Orsik was ready to take his own life. That's when he heard a voice in his head, promising him the power to obtain revenge on the ones who killed his loved ones. Not having anything more to lose, Orsik happily agreed to the deal. With the newly found power, he achieved his revenge against the ones who had killed his family, and after that wandered off to find out what else he could obtain with this new power.

I'm new to 5E and Roll20, but have been playing RPGs for a lot longer than I care to admit. I have played all D&D editions save 4E and have purchased all of the core books for the new system. Here's my concept: Reigrim Werzak (male hill dwarf Cleric of Helm) was born in a snowstorm during one of his birth clans' treks to Jorunda Gate, but he was greeted with disdain once the clanfolk noticed his twisted left leg. A stunted limb like that would prohibit him from ever becoming a strong warrior; he would be nothing but a burden upon his people. And so it was with this in mind that his tiny body was left in the ruins of a collapsed tower, and his first crib was the cold hard stone of its walls. Normally, this would have been a death sentence, but Reigrim was stronger than his people had given him credit. He survived until morning, although it was something of a miracle that none of the animals in the region found him that night. The stony ruins upon which he rested comforted him, and he drew strength from the unyielding surface, sleeping until becoming hungry in the morning. It was his squalls that drew the notice of a passing group of human Helm-priests bound for Krona Peak. Searching, they found his tiny form and took him into their midst, that of Clan War Anvil (Werzak in their tongue). Growing up in the War Anvil enclave, he was treated as one of their own and raised in the Helmish tradition.

I'm interested in playing. I've been playing some 5E but never used Roll20. Two questions - is there still an open spot and is this using voice chat? Please let me know as I'm very interested.... If so, can you summarize what classes are being played and I'll make sure to roll something to compliment the group. Thanks in Advance!
I usually use Hangouts for the Chat Connection however if it is incompatible for some players then skype can be used... If Doug F. does not respond to the PM within the next 24 hours I will send the Link to Phil F.

I want to join as well. I actually made a character for another Hoard of the Dragon Queen Game and was supplied a bond but it only lasted 1 session before the GM vanished. I can give more details if we talk.
Hey there, I'd love to throw down my name into the hat if there is any additional room. If not, I'd be glad to wait list if there is a no-show. Cheers! Name: Gustaf Kovolsk Race/Class/Alignment: Human (Damaran) Ranger (Hunter Archetype), Neutral Good Background: A lean-figured human in his late twenties garbed from head to toe in old faded leather armor. Animal furs of various earthy hues wring his sleeves and collar. His strong featured face is framed by a mane of dark brown hair and a thick growth of blackish brown beard. His piercing chestnut brown eyes glitter and take in his surroundings with careful, measured glances. His skin is tanned from many years outdoors under the sun, but is smooth and generally clean. He carries himself with dignity and confidence, his head held high and a subtle smile on his lips beneath his britstling mustache. Soft doeskin boots on his feet appear to have seen countless miles and better days. Over his shoulder is slung a finely tooled leather quiver and well-crafted longbow. Gustaf was always the adventurous sort. Sixth son of two dairy farmers, Gustaf toiled at a young age to keep up with the work given to him around the farmstead. When the other children would retire for the evening after supper, Gustaf would often slip out into the night to explore the surrounding countryside, attempting to travel further and further every time - just to glimpse the wide world that remained an inviting secret to him. His elder siblings had the farm well-in-hand by the time of Gustaf's coming of age, so he set off into the wilderness to see what the world had to offer. Traveling on foot from hamlet to village, Gustaf's experience with the untamed lands between came to him quickly and naturally. He delighted in leaving the towns behind to set off into deeper and thicker forests, the crunching of leaves under his feet a welcoming sound. After nearly a decade of globe-trotting, Gustaf's home is the wilds, and his appearance reflects that; Shaggy dark brown hair with a thick growth of beard on his tanned skin and patched and worn leathers crafted from animal hides and furs. He still stops off in towns from time-to-time, but only to gain some information on some distant land or breathtaking vista that he has yet to see. Once that destination (real or not) is in mind, he sets off again into the horizon, ignoring roads and other man-made landmarks that might spoil the adventure for him. With bare earth, grass, or leaves beneath his boots and the sun ever on his face, Gustaf is rarely without a smile.
This game now has seven players and is full, thanks to all who showed interest. If I had the time I would attempt to run a 4th Campaign of HoDQ but I just can't swing it right now... -Ajax
