DM wanted for a small group of guys for 3.5 D&D

So we're a group of guys that has had bad luck with 2 DM's that have gone crazy and dropped out. We're older adults, friendly and just want to play a campaign with a DM that's reliable. We don't ask for pretty maps, or a high level of preparation, just good sandbox roleplay. We like intrigue and economics with some battle. What we don't want: - Hack n' Slash - Asshat DM that can't be an adult about things - Asshat PLAYERS that can't be an adult about things - Dungeon Crawler We don't like DM's that railroad players either. You're there to facilitate knowledge that the players should have or can achieve and to tell a story, not to cock block them at every turn. So if anyone wants to give us a fun swashbuckling adventure full of ships, intrigue, crime and a non-good alignment, we would deeply appreciate it.
Drazz may be coming off strong but people dropping out is starting to get old. Our last DM gets on knowing hes doin a game that day and tells us he was playing video games all night and didnt have anything ready, the game started off a little rocky but nothing too bad. after a while apparently one of the players got frustrated about something and left the room for about 10 or 15 seconds to cool his jets and collect his thoughts and the moment he leaves the DM just says "well it looks like this is over" and bolts, without even a consideration for the other 2 guys. All of this seems to have stemmed from the DM not being prepared and giving us absolutely no direction for the game after we had tried to make our own direction and him saying "no dice, you get nothing" All that aside a dm that would like to game with us would be awesome. It would be nice to have one that is prepared and actually wants to be the DM.
Based on what you've posted, I would be interested in subbing in as a DM. I am familiar, if a bit rusty, with 3.5e, and have always prefered the roleplaying to the combat, which seems in line with your interests. Two important questions though: When are you all available, and what was the setting, if you wish to carry on there?
Well I personally am available everyday except Fridays until the end of January. Elijah (I think) is pretty close to that availability too. Our third should be available pretty often as well I just need to let him know if advance. The setting was a custom world, specifically one large port city with multiple districts. It was supposed to be full of intrigue and political strife and lots of crime (but we never got to explore any of that, just got to see some of the city, where our characters lived previously and a bit of the history). Ideally we would like a setting with a strong naval presence, and I personally like non-good criminal settings with intrigue and politics. That said, if you want to try a fresh campaign, I would be ok with that. We use Teamspeak 3 , so if you would like, I can send you the server info over PM and we can discuss it.
If you guys are looking for a (4th?). I'm available most days and most times. I have a IRL group i play 3.5 with. I've played 4E on roll20, and Baldurs gate, so i have limited knowledge of 2E. If you do start a fresh campaign, I'd be more than interested to play along side you guys. My IRL campaigns are only once a week, so I'm fiending for more action. Thanks.
I'd love to join in on some DMing if you folks want to give me a trial run. I havent DM'ed in a few years but am familiar with the 3.5e (what i started playing). I'm always sure to be prepared and communicate effectively. And fun is what matters most. It may take me a little time to get back into the swing of things, but i'm sure i can give you all at least a good session or two, and if it doesnt work out - no feelings hurt :) I've always preferred the roleplay and intrigue over dungeon crawls and combat but none of my players ever did :P
Well I haven't heard back from Corin so we had Steve start DMing, he did a test game last night that was pretty good and we're going to try one Saturday if you would like to drop in Mr. Sif, you'd be welcome. Do you have Teamspeak? I'll PM you the ip address, I'm on everyday so feel free to drop in to chat.
