Hey guys my name is Jory, and I'm looking to run an adventure to test my hand at DMing 5E. I've been playing DnD since elementary school with my buddy and his stepdad, who would run the games for us. I grew up playing 3.5 and then took a hiatus when I moved in middle school. Moving again in highschool, I found a new group of friends, who one day casually asked if I've ever heard of DnD, and the addiction resurfaced. I played 3.5 with them, and when 4E came out, I showed my girlfriend, and her friends, the ropes. Although disappointing for myself, it was the perfect system to introduce to them due to its simple rules and easy-to-pick-up nature. I've been playing 5E for about 2 months now and it is, by far, my favorite system to date. I've played 5 different characters between my campaigns and one-shots, even appearing on Twitch for 2 different channels. Now, I would like to take the next step, and become dungeon master so 5 lucky players can experience the joy of taking on the forces of evil (or maybe good?..) Anywho, I'm looking for a group to play a slightly dark, morally ambiguous, gritty, and somewhat serious, adventure. Due to this nature (and the simple fact I swear like a sailor) the game will be 18+ Since this is a oneshot, I'm letting the players have a large amount of liberty when it comes to character creation and backstory. Make up nations. Make up clan history. The more creative (but serious and believable) the better. The characters will be level 3, any races or classes from the PH are allowed. When choosing deities, please stick to the Forgotten Realms or Greyhawk. When applying please make a new post that follows the following format: (Subject) *First Name* Playing *Character Name*: the *Race* *Class* (Body) Introduce yourself and give me a slight history lesson about yourself, including you're experience with DnD; this edition and others. Also feel free to include other tabletop games. I am more than willing to take players who have experience with DnD, but have never played 5E, as long as you have access to a PH. I would prefer not to take somebody's D&D virginity for my first time running a 5E game. We will determine the date and time of play when the party has been selected and introduced. If you have any questions, I would be more than happy to help, just post in the forum and I will get back to you fairly quickly, since I check roll20 far more often than I would care to admit. Happy gaming, and good luck, Jory
