What: I really like Pathfinder's Ultimate Campaign Guide. Not only does it give a pseudo-lifepath system to make characters more lifelike, but I appreciate that it provides a framework for making young characters who become heroes. I've always wanted to play in more of an orgin story game where characters have to work into their chosen class/profession. Anyone doing this or want to start a game? I mention Pathfinder because he framework is already there, but I'm cool with a non-d20 game as well. When: That's the tricky part. My work schedule often fluctuates, making it hard to plan a recurring game. I'm usually free throughout the week in the late evening (around 9 MST/11 EST), and often have time during the day. Given my schedule, I figure a pickup game (play when everyone is available) twice a month or so would work well. More details: One idea I have is for a wizard's apprentice. If we use Pathfinder, I'd like a make a change to the Adept class to accommodate this. This would basically be a change from divine to arcane casting, and give the character a spell book to prep from. I find that a divine Adept just doesn't thematically make sense for an aspiring wizard PC, but a simple change makes it fit. The characters also needn't be children specifically, rather on the older end of the age category to keep things from getting weird. Please let me know if you'd be interested in taking this up.
