Spectate?

Hi all I am having trouble finding a game as a player. GMT based. Keen to DM but need to learn the interface first. Is there a spectate mode, and are there any DM's that would allow me to spectate a session or two? Let me know if this is even possible! Any game would be fine as I just need to see the interface being used. Thanks M

Hello Martin, there is not a true spectator mode for games. You can watch various roll20 game play on twitchtv and youtube for a close to spectator mode but otherwise you just have to ask a GM if they will let you lurk in the game.

Hopefully someone will come along to invite you into their Roll20 game, to watch if that's what you want to do. I did that when I first joined this site too. But I wanted to tell you, if you just want to "see" some games and watch how it's played, try Twitch or YouTube searching for Roll20 or D&D games. A lot of recordings will come up. The drawback is you're not directly inside the Roll20 interface yourself, so you wouldn't be able to test buttons, test dice roller, type in chat, ask questions, etc. But it is a good place to watch people playing on Roll20. Here are a couple of links for that sort of viewing, http://www.twitch.tv/directory/game/Roll20%20Virtu... http://www.twitch.tv/directory/game/Dungeons%20&%2... https://www.youtube.com/results?search_sort=video_...
