Stars Without Number Wednesday's 6PM EST

I'm interested in starting a Stars Without Number campaign. I've DMed a couple campaigns here on Roll20 and I am extremely partial to sandbox gameplay. I am not a huge weekly preparer as I don't have the time, but creating a world and leaning on my ability to be spontanous has served me well, and I think lends itself well to SWN. I love the environment that SWN creates to foster that type of play. There will be combat, but this game will be much more focused on the shared storytelling experience than many people are used to. As far as times go, it will have to be Wednesday nights at 6pm EST. We will be using some type of voice chat. I would like to meet sometime tomorrow to create characters and talk, so we can start the next week. I'm fully aware this is Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve. I'm sympathetic to those with previous engagements, but I would prefer those who can make those times for the simple reason that I am a stickler when it comes to missing sessions. If you miss a session without advanced notice, I will remove you. I've attempted to run a couple Roll20 campaigns, and by far the largest problem I've had is people who join but then are unable to consistently commit to the time listed. I hope this time the horrible times the next two weeks might weed out applicants that aren't willing to commit. My vision for this campaign is a slightly dystopian Star Wars without the lightsabers. It will be a heroic or mythical setting, with emphasis on roleplay and great deeds, and an infinite amount of breadth and depth for the players to take in any direction they wish. In order to illustrate what I had in mind, I've created 3 starting scenarios, of which the players will get together and choose one by popular vote. I hope this will do a few things 1) Create a common jumping point for everyone to coalesce around when creating a party 2) Give a bit of structure at the start to people who aren't used to sandbox games, which is usually the majority of players. 3) Set a tone for the campaign which will help me flesh out the rest of the sector in the most entertaining and efficient way possible. All of these planets will exist in the sector, but may not be accessible for awhile depending on where you begin. Shardha Al-Juhara Shardha, commonly known as Shardha, is without question the most notorious world in the sector. It is known as a haven for the criminal, where pirates and smugglers are celebrated, and rumors of maltech and eugenics clearly have more than a nugget of truth in them. Drill routes are a closely guarded secret, and the difficulty to find them, let alone pilot them, largely keep unwanted influences away. Yet, the huge black market attracts all kinds of shady individuals to the freeport, and the Intaki Syndicate, the Angel Cartel, and the Serpentis Corporation have risen in a fight for power and influence in the underworld. The planet is a huge sprawling city. The Green Moons of Shardha are a wonderous marvel of science, a trio of moons full of forests and fields perfect for supporting life on the planet. Whether born and raised in the system, a slave or servant who has won their freedom, or simply a spacer looking to make your fortune, you have spent the last few years working your way into a position as an official member of the Syndicate doing whatever it takes, from extortion to murder, to prove yourself. Now, your colleagues and yourself have gathered for what, by all indications, appears to be an important job. Andari Andari is a sleepy agrarian world that has been largely lost since the Scream. The rest of the sector has passed it by. However, recently, an expedition from the University of Caille was able to discover a number of remarkable ruins of an ancient alien civiliation. The University discovered that a compound found in the ruins has applications in the most widely used forms of disease treatment and biomedical technology. Corporate interests have used their resources to make up for lost time, and the University is strugging to keep up due to its limited manpower. Therefore, the University has employed a number of experts in medicine, technology, and security for the first wave of excavation, of which you are one. The backlash from the influx of offworlders has been huge, and it is becoming more difficult for outside interests to operate on the planet without disruptive government investigations and open hostility from the natives. The sole spacesport has recently been locked down to new arrivals, and your expertise and presence on the planet makes you critical to any operation's success. Villore You are part of the Royal Amarrian Navy blockade fleet in orbit over Villore. This is the very first time the Amarrian Fleet has seen combat after years of training, and the Villoran Defense Force lost a decisive battle. Villore will soon succumb to the very first conquest of the new Amarrian Empire, though there will probably be a number of issues as the Emperor imposes his divine will. There had been discussions with the government, but it is looking more likely that they might attempt to force a ground invasion, which it is well known that the Navy is loathe to do. You were recently informed you and your team were to be sent down in a drop pod to prepare for the invasion, should God deem it necessary. Whether you are a true believer in the God Emperor Kor Azor, a convicted criminal who chose military service instead of a jail cell, or a hired gun, you prepare for your next assignment.
I'm interested. Is that all I need to say for now?
I might be interested, but I have not played SWN before and have no knowledge of the rules and ect. Would that be a problem?

Not at all. 1) The core edition pdf is completely free 2) The rules are rather simple and reminiscent of the Old School Revival (OSR) content
Editted to be clear that voice chat is mandatory. I'm open to Google Hangouts or Skype or whatever is easiest for people.
I'm interested as well. From what I can tell, SWN is close to how Travellers worked and I have played that quite abit, but other than that I've never played SWN before.
