I would be willing to run, I know how to play 3rd, 4th and "Next" (5th). I am also in Central Time zone and could run weekday nights M, T or W 6-10ish (might be somewhat flexible on that). I would prefer to not to commit to something long-term. I'm itching to try out Roll20, but until I do, don't know how well it works - I have found a lot of Online Tabletops have issues - hoping this is the best. I have built a test environment on here and was VERY impressed. 3e is very much like Pathfinder, if you are interested in learning to play something widely supported. 4e is simpler, but very combat oriented, World of Warcraft fans seem to pick it up fast. Next is probably the easiest (since the rules are being written they are pretty basic so far). It tends to be a lot less tactical and you can get a lot of adventure in a few hours. Let me know if you're interested.
Short term is perfect, Tom. Just looking to learn how to play and hopefully have a fun game. As for sessions, I'd be happy with a MW 6-10 schedule!
As for what I have played, I've done an Exalted (modified) game, Pokemon Tabletop Adventures, and a D6 homebrew of my friend's design.
Everyone else looking to join is free to join me, unless more people post and Tom can't handle that party size.
