Semi-Experienced DM looking for Swedish players. (D&D 3.5)

This thread has been automaticly closed due to the fact that it is 2 months old. A new thread has been started over HERE . Greetings and salutations! I'm currently looking for players for my 3.5 campaign that I'm running. The world is custom, created by me and other fantasy loving roleplayers over the course of several years. The setting is pretty standard, being a medieval medium-magic campaign. So most things should feel familiar, even for new players. The only difference beeing custom gods instead of the ones in the original 3.5 Handbook. For those that want that little extra, there are several pages of written information regarding the religious beliefs, gods, lands, cities and politics that you are going to be facing in the world. We also have a map, of course. It is still being expanded as players discover more far away lands, cities and cultures. As a DM, I will shift the focus of the campaign depending on what the players want and how they decide to play their characters. I'm confident in my ability to create interesting political dilemmas, religious conflicts, morally challenging situations as well as stealthy missions, a rageing battleground and any other scenario that the players happen to find themselves in. Playtimes and timezones: Every player in my campaign lives in Sweden as of now. Therefore the timezone I'll be working in is GMT+1. We are currently playing every Sunday, starting at 14:00 (02:00 PM) and playing until the players feel like they've had enough for the session. This has led us to a few 6+ hours or even more instances. As of now, we are currently playing every Thursday, starting at 19:00 (07:00 PM). A session is usually between 3 to 4 hours. If you are unable to play for longer than a specified amount, that should still be fine. On rare occations, members want to play on a different day, due to their schedule. We try to stick to Thursday, but if you have a flexible schedule that would allow you to play on some other days as well, should the occation arise, that would be great. What I'm looking for in a player: Concistency. The ability to play a lot over the course of the campaign. Flexibility will of course be taken into account. Being a decent person. This means showing up on time, contacting me or fellow players ahead of time in case you cannot participate in the next session or the like. You'll also be asked to respect me as the DM and your fellow players. Your own political and religious beliefs outside of the game should be left outside of the game. Arguing is fine, but remember that players are not representing themselves in the actual game. Fun. It would be nice if you were a person that is comfortable being anyone, but most importantly yourself. TL;DR: I run a campaign. D&D 3.5. I want some more players. Not sure how many more. 1-2 would be good. I can only take in players that speak and understand Swedish, due to my players. Questions? Ask away or simply send me a PM!

Well hello there! Just wanna ask a quick question before I really introduce myself and all of that. I've never played 3.5, but did just finish RotR (Pathfinder) and currently looking into joining a 5E campaign. Any chance this adventure would turn into one of those systems? Or is there a reason to stick with 3.5? If that's the case, I might be convinced to do so. Jag vet inte om man var tvungen att hålla sig till engelska primärt här? Född och uppvuxen i Sverige iaf, så språket är ej ett problem! Mvh

The 3.5 system has great customization options for characters that allow you to go very in-depth. I'm sure you know this, but Pathfinder "originated" from the 3.5 system. While it wasn't made by Wizards of the Coast, it was made by people that simply weren't satisfied with the 4th version of D&D. Both systems are similar because of that, with a slight alteration to various things in the Pathfinder version. Jumping from 3.5 to Pathfinder and vise versa wouldn't be very problematic as the foundation is basicly the same. My campaign won't go into 5th edition as I find that edition to be over-simplified and it removes a lot of customization (and interesting rules) available to the players. I like numbers a lot as well. You do not have to reply in Swedish in this thread, as I intend for this thread to also be read by people that do not speak the language, but perhaps know someone that does :)
You got mail! (PM)
There's currently one slot open in the campaign, in case anyone else is interested in joining!

I haven't played 3.5 in forever, but who can resist a good Swedish group? Definitely interested.
Alright, lets talk more via PM, alternatively Skype!
No open spots for another swede experienced with pathfinder? :)
As for right now, no. I still have a few PM's that I need to answer (I've been doing other things recently). But your interest is noticed and should I require more players, I'll be sure to contact you in the tuture!
Sent the link to a Swedish friend of mine who is now living in Finland.
Another spot has opened! This time we're just looking for a single member!
I've sent a few messages to people that showed interest and I'm currently awaiting responses from them. Until then, I'd be happy to see if more people are also interested!
If you have any issues findign players here then give www.rollspel.nu a try, its a swedish roleplaying community!
I would be interested in this, I've played alot of rpg's, and 3.5 would be my favourite D&D version. A couple of questions if you wouldn't mind. What is the current party level in the group, and what are the allowed/restricted books?

What is the current party level in the group, and what are the allowed/restricted books? Sounds good! All hail 3.5! Certainly: The current party level is 8.5 (There's one level 10 player and two level 9 players.) New characters joining will start out at level 9. We have a few members that might return at a later date that is currently not playing in the campaign. We play with a lot of the books being allowed. Here's a list of the books we generally use, though if a player wishes to use content from a book not mentioned, he/she can talk to me about it. Players Handbook I Players Handbook II Complete Adventurer, Arcane, Champion, Divine, Mage, Scoundrel, Warrior Tome of Battle Though my collection of books contains a lot more that the players are free to look at and then discuss with me. Also, worth mentioning: We do not play with Prestige Classes.
