Looking for players to travel the 9th world

After a bit of a hiatus from GM-ing I am once again testing the waters of the roll20 sea to see if I can discover a few gaming comrades. Currently I plan on running two campaign one of them being this Numenera campaign, set in the vaguely defined 9th World. The main "concepts" behind this campaign are a truly open world and meaningful player choices. In return, I am looking for players who are able and wanting to explore and discover and player who are excited and entertained, not burdened, by meaningful choices. I offer to players what I hope is an interesting and somewhat "credible" world, populated and driven by what I hope are varied, morally grey and somewhat "credible" people/creatures. I claim no mastery over the "style" of GM-ing that I try to use and I do not ask of my players to have previous knowledge of Numenera, of the 9th World setting and not even previous experience with RPGs. However, I expect players that are willing to collaborate with each-other and with myself to run an enjoyable game, I do not treat players as my "enemies" when GM-ing and I wish to play with people that do not think of the GM as their "enemy". I will let the game be player-driven but this also means I require a certain degree of creativity from the players so that they are able to chose their goals and find wonder and excitement in a world map or the words of an elder about a far-away place. Obviously this style of campaign that I run comes at a "cost", I do not often use battle maps and when I do they are not usually highly stylized pieces of artwork but with sheets of internet papers or maps that I quickly pulled from scraps. Player character deaths can and might happen, the challenges that you encounter might seem a bit more "unfair" or "easy" at times as compared to a pre-built module that takes the players on a railroad, I find that difficulty or lack of difficulty can often add tension or emotion to the game, it can encourage creative thinking and good role playing. However, if you are the kind of guy that thinks of combat in terms of battle-grids and of various challenges in terms of "encounter level" this is not that game for you. Currently I am looking for 2 more players to create a group of 3 character as I find that a "3 PC party" always works best assuming all 3 players are involved in the game. Character creation will be done together, the "mood" of the game I will leave partially up to the players to decide during characters creation. The times for playing are not set, I would prefer Sunday as a game-day but I have windows of times in all the other week days, I am European (GMT+2) so I might not mash up to well with Americans that have a busy schedule. If you are interested in joining or wish to know more about the game do not shy away to contact me via a private message or, if you prefer, by posting in this thread.
Hello! I've recently found out about Numenera, and I'm really itching to play it. I'm playing my first session today in a one off, but I'd like to get in a campaign. I think I would really enjoy your style of GMing, focusing more on the story and narrative, doing things that make sense as opposed to "Well, the players are Tier 1, so they face these guys at this battle." I'm in Eastern Standard Time, GMT -5, so the time might not work out, but I wanted to put my interest in just in case. Hopefully it can work out.
Hi! I'm also VERY interested in Numenera. I'm also in EST. What days are you thinking? It might work for me to participate, depending on the day/time.
EST times might work as long as you are able to play in the morning or afternoon. Also please send me a PM with a bit more info about yourself and what exactly you are looking for in a game/what you can bring to a game, it's hard to pick out player judging by only a few lines of text.
Sounds refreshing and promising. I like the optimistic yet modest attitude. I am definitively interested. I´d really enjoy a campaign that doesn't feel like it´s just encounters and meaningless downtime. Having some impact on the world and story sounds like something every campaign would have but to really make it meaningfull and not just seem like it, a facade, sounds difficult. I´d be along for the ride for sure. I´ll send you a PM as well about time and stuff. Looking forward to where this is going.
I would also Like to join if there is room. I will send a PM later today but am currently at work.
I want to join please
The game is likely to be held Sunday morning, starting around 10AM-13PM GMT and going for 4 hours (possibly 5 at times). Due to scheduling issues we are forced to look for 1 new player to complete the group of three. If you are interested please send me an message with information about why you'd like to join, what kind of character you usually play, what's your general experience with rpg's, that sort of thing... so I can get a little feel of each potential player, see if he jams with the current group, you know how it goes.
