AD&D Birthright

Anyone want to try Birthright? A ruler, a high cleric, a court wizard, and a guilder to rule a kingdom? Maybe even try multiple groups running different kingdoms?

That sounds amazing, but I've never played AD&D. I assume you're the DM? If you're willing to be patient, I'd definitey be down for it!

I'm kinda shocked anyone is even asking for a Birthright game. It's fun stuff, though I can't say I've played it exactly as written before. One of my friends is running a Pathfinder version, while leaving almost all of the 2e material for rulership as is. I wish ya luck in finding someone willing to run it, or if you are, players who'd be interested.

Try posting in this group as well, to drum up more AD&D players. I also posted a link to this page in a couple of Facebook AD&D groups I belong to.

Birthright is something on my goals to try. But I'm already playing and DM'ing AD&D (non-Birthright) and I just won't have the time to commit in the near future for joining this. Hopefully it gets off the ground and I think having multiple groups who eventually cross paths, sounds awesome. Roll20 would be the place to pull it off. Happy adventuring. Here is another community group, the 2E Tavern on Roll20 and you may crosspost your pitch there if you like. I'm the proprietor and everyone in the group is a 2nd Edition enthusiast. Birthright has been discussed a while ago by some other players in the group's internal forum.

oh I used to run it in the 90s and had 30 players in it at one point (in multiple groups ie kingdoms) I was just thinking there would be an interest here but it's no big deal. If I don't get enough people here my local group will play.

I've never played 2e, but this definitely sounds interesting. Depending on day/time I'd be down to join.

Please count me in! I own the Birthright boxed set and have been itching to give it a shot for some time.

I registered just to say that I'll definitely do Birthright with any rules edition, although I'm used to BR 3.0 and not the original. Of course, I did play AD&D 2nd back in the day. Let's say as long as the game doesn't run much longer than the current time (about 3 am GMT) I'm fine with it.
