Since Mage is so hard for players to find games for, I figured I should open up my last spot in my Monday night Mage game. Originally we were an M&M group but the GM needed a break so I'm running a Mage chronicle that, so far, has been a roaring success. Anyone interested drop a reply but please read through first: 1. This is a mage game. For some reason people always want to make a vampire or werewolf... No. 2. We are exploring the themes of Mage. Particularly the part about protecting sleepers. Atlantis and all of the trappings are here. 3. Realistic concepts only. My characters, at current, are a demonologist, a mechanic, a martial arts teacher who teaches kid's classes (ages from 8-14), and an assistant district attorney. Mostly I just don't want a plethera of people who make assassins, special forces operatives, etc. My players have been super awesome and made characters that feel real. 4. Moderate to heavy roleplaying. We've had exactly one fight in 5 sessions. That was also only 3 rounds of combat. My plots are built around my players and are designed to have characters think. For example, one of the big plots at the moment is the ADA has been told to get a conviction, an easy one, but the ADA knows the man is innocent thanks to his Magic. He's being forced to choose between tanking his career or putting an innocent man on death row... The bigger problem? The ADA himself helped to kill the man the suspect is being accused of killing. Its a choice between Justice and Pride. 5. Good humor. Our group has been together for almost a year now... Wow it has been while... We have fun, we laugh, we are friends... So I want a player who believes that a gaming group is more than just some guys we play with... Its people we are friends with. ----- If the above sounds cool to you, feel free to give me a replay with a character idea or two.
