Noobie DM looking for noobie players GMT+1

So this is basically an interest check for a future campaign that may or may not come to fruition, depending on how life-things work out. I have never DM'ed before but lately I've been feeling the need to create my own setting for players to explore. Since I'm new to DM'ing I thought it would be a good idea to only recruit new players, and make this a learning opportunity for everyone involved :) Also, I still haven't decided what actual system or setting to use. I'll list which system I have experience with (and the ones I don't), and what kind of setting would be associated to them, if they are chosen as the one to play: Experienced: D&D 3.5E Pathfinder D&D 4E (Blergh) Numenera Apocalypse World Mystic Empyrean Not Experienced, but interested in running: FATE ASOAIF RPG Call of Cthulhu What to expect if a certain system is chosen : D&D3.5/ Pathfinder - Basic outline is: Characters are part of an organization known as "The Uncommon". This organization is tasked with protecting civilization dzee eeevils. "The Uncommon" are recruited when fairly young, if they show promise, and go through arduous training. They don't answer to any king or lord. They simply do what the council (the elder members of "The Uncommon") decides must be done to protect the land and it's people. (Using Forgotten Realms) Numenera - This game already has a very characteristic setting. I have part of a campaign built up, which I can't say too much about without spoiling it. There's a lot of mistery/exploration/risk-taking involved, though :) Apocalypse World/ Fate - Horror Sci-fi MUTHAFUCKAS! ASOAIF RPG - this one is pretty self-explanatory I think. Call of Cthulhu - Think _Twin Peaks + True Detective + a lot of weird stuff going on that will make you doubt your sanity + more horror MUTHAFUCKAS!_ This is basically the gist of it. If there is any interest, I'll let you guys choose what system to play. So I guess just comment on it bellow. Ideal timezone woud be around GMT+1 :) Let me know what you think!

Hi! Are you looking for players that are new to RPGs in general, or just to whichever system you decide to go with? I'm familiar with many of the systems you listed, but others I'm very much a beginner at.

Hey, don't know if you just want inexperienced players but I reckon I could be helpful as someone who's running a bunch of different systems at the minute. GMT from around 4pm to 7pm would be good for me on weekdays and on Saturdays I could do 12pm to 6pm. If this is your first time GMing I would suggest a rule-lite system like Apocalypse World, but if I were to join I'm fine with pretty much anything (and if I know the system I would be more than willing to help out).
Sounds interesting! I myself is GMT+1 and can play on any week days between 17-24 besides Tuesday and weekends work for me too. I have some(some very little) experience with 3.0e, 3.5e, 4.0e and 5.0e, but no pathfinder. If you need anyone to help testing something or anything let me know. Is it going to point buy system, what about backstory (besides the things you already provided)?
I am inteterest what tiem we thinking
I'd be willing to join since I really want to get a feel for the 3.5 or Pathfinder most those high fantasy medieval settings to start since it's the most I know about, but if you're willing to teach I'd learn something new. I'd be able to play on Saturdays 10PM-3AM CST.
I was looking exactly for a group and found your post, I would be more than happy to join you! I am a noobie with lot of enthusiasm to learn anew (used to play long ago), i am in the gmt+1 timezone as well so hope we can work out something:)

I am interested. I am gmt +1 from the netherlands.
Would be awesome if i could join in :D
Update : Still trying to make a decision based on every answer here. I'm also adding Stars Without Numbers to the list! :) It would really help if everyone chose a game they want to play!
I've played a few Apocalypse Engine games, so I'm fairly comfortable with that, and that's what I'd want to play with. However, I can probably try anything if I'm given enough time to learn the system.
I'm familar with D&D 3.5, Apocalypse World (and any hack of the system) and Stars Without Number. But I'm up for pretty much any system.

I'm mostly interested in FATE, ASOIAF and Apocalypse World, the latter of which being the only system of the three I've actually played.
I am rather new, well used to play ehen dinosaurs still walked the planet but that's another story, so I am rather open to any game as value the fun over the set 😊 in no specifii. Order I like D&D all ruleset, CoC, Pathfinder, Fate and for what I read around also Apocalypse does not seem bad but again I am open to anything
Update: One thing you guys should know is that, depending on the chosen game, it may take more time for the campaign to be ready.
Hi I see you are looking for newbie players who are interested in learning, I have watched some videos of tabletop games and get the main gist of it, I am interested in playing d&d 4e or 3.5, feel free to PM me or contact me on skype at ironrhino25, I will only need to know ahead Of time so I read some rules and create my character. I am in the Central Time Zone. I hope we can work with each other.
I'm a GMT based person, and would find this a lot easier than the GMT-5-7 that most games seem to seem to be. What day of the week would be best?
I'm from the Netherlands (CET), and I'd love to join a Pathfinder or Numenera game. :)
Ok I'm gonna give this a couple more days so that some more people have an opportunity to possibly be a part of this.
Urm hi, can I join maybe, I'm pretty new to table top rpg's, but I have a basic knowledge of D&D, but I'm willing to learn what ever system you choose, i'm GMT + 0 so fairly close, please pm if I can join, thanks
Hey, I am in GMT+1. I would love to be in the loop. So if you decide on anything I woule love to get the info :) I played a few RPGs but I am still not firm with many rules in many games since they were always kind of "learning by doing". I am not too much into deep Roleplaying, I like it with a good balance with Rollplaying too. But this might only be, since I never played it out that way. Might be funny with a ruleset where I can't do what I want since my char has a different alignment or something (like Pendragon e.g.)
Hi, im totally new to table top rpg's, picked up the pathfinder rulebook at Christmas to try and get into it but im drowning in numbers and info. im GMT +0 (uk) and would love to be part of a regular game starting from the ground up.
Hi guys, I'm a Pathfinder/D&D 3.5 Veteran, but haven't really stepped out of that zone into other games. I'm UK based and looking for a game that is in the evenings. Would love to try Apocalyptic/Fate/Cthulu if that is what gets chosen. If you go with Pathfinder, I would love to get involved, but I do know a lot (I DM several games, so I've had to learn plenty for when my players try to cheat), so if you'd prefer newer players I have no issue with not making the cut. I'm not a power gamer, and I play very much for fun. I also have a decent quality mic and headset and have a good broadband connection. Ben
Hey, I would love it if I could join. I used to sometimes meet up with my friends and play some roleplay from their design, but I'm honestly really bad with all the rules and stuff like since I never managed to learn them properly (plus there are so many systems) so I consider myself a noob. I have plenty of time the next 7-10 days because i've just had my tonsils removed so I'm hoping that I can join a group to spend some time :D But also because of that I might not always be able to speak properly with you guys and would most likely just have to type my stuff out most of the time, if thats alright with you guys of course. I'm in GMT 0 (no summer time for my country btw) and when I start working again when I'm recovered I'll be able to play tue, thur from around 6pm and sat sun just about whenever-o'clock. A preffered game... would be anything but asoiaf since I'm not up to date with it and prefer not to get spoilers lol. Berger
Hey Koala, This would work for me during the week if you get anything running. I havent tried anything on roll20 yet so I am keen to give anything a go! I am pretty laid back, enthusiastic and supportive if you need it! A
We should make smaller groups from this cuz imma noon to
Hey, if you're still recruiting I'd love to join, have a bit of experience in 3.5 but not much more than that, I think I'd be most interested in playing Call of Cthulhu, Numenera or Pathfinder. I'm at GMT+2 and am basically available all throughout the week except possibly weekends.
Hi! If you're still looking for players, then I'm game! I'm in GMT+1 (Netherlands) - and am new to RPGs. I'd be most interested in Call of Cthulhu or Numenera, or possibly Apocalypse World. I'm available most days after 8pm.
I'm very informative on D&D 2nd DMing, but also a HUGE Lovecraft fan. I've never played Call of Cthulhu and would love to, so put me down as a noob for that one ;)
Ok people, consider this topic closed! I have enough people interested as it is! I have pm'ed / will pm those I think will fit in with what I'm trying to do.To those who do not receive this PM, thank you very much for your interest and I'm sorry if you don't get picked, maybe we'll have a chance to play together in the future! Thank you all very much! :)
