New to RPGs as a whole, but I listen to a few podcasts (both of play sessions and general RPG convo) so I have a very good idea on how to handle myself. Really the only thing I would need help with would be mechanical things. I own all 3 of the FFG Star Wars books (Edge of the Empire, Age of Rebellion, and the Force and Destiny Beta) and am decently familiar with the game mechanics. What I want A light hearted group that doesn't get caught up in the details of the canon. I know the movies like the back of my hand, but my EU knowledge is limited to random browsing of Wookiepedia. A session that focuses much more on narrative than the combat. A group that is into role playing, and less roll playing. An exciting and involving campaign. Not looking for a tour of the galaxy, I want my character to be invested in the plot. What I DONT want A group of brooding, apathetic, lone wolf-types. Group that isn't forgiving of my limited knowledge of things outside the movies (I know a fair amount, but don't get upset if I don't know what a ship looks like based off its model number or where Darth Bane's holocron is). Combat heavy sessions (don't have anything against combat, but would much rather have the combat be meaningful due to it occurring less. If we face squads of Storm Troopers ever single session suddenly fighting doesn't mean anything). I live in the CT time zone (UTC -6:00 I believe) and like I said Friday evening/nights would be ideal but I can be flexible. Only time that does not work is Wednesday nights. Thanks! If you have questions for me please ask.
