Token Grouping and Dynamic Lighting

So, here is the problem I am having. I have players who have Darkvision and low-light vision in my Pathfinder game. My plan is this: Players who have Darkvision will have their Darkvision stats entered into their player's light radius and then I will not have that player broadcast their light to other players. Likewise, I want to do the same thing with low-light vision. Then, what I want to do is give each player a 2nd token to act as a normal torch/light source. That way I could have the normal light conditions for players without low-light/darkvision while still allowing the players who have those abilities use them with the dynamic lighting. Like this: My original thought was that I could use the group tool to group the torches to the player tokens, but I've run into a problem First, I select both tokens and group them: When I group the tokens and them try to move them, one of the tokens will stay in place while the other token will follow my cursor, making an enormous box. Then when I set down the token, the two tokens will now move respective of one another, but not on top of each other like I want: So is it possible to do what I want and group the two tokens and keep them on top of each other? Why is it only moving one of the tokens when I try to move them instead of both if I have them grouped? Also, I have noticed that when I group my tokens, I can't see the radial menu anymore.

Double click on the group to move them as a group. A single click moves only one token in a group. Hold down Alt when clicking on a grouped token to bring up the radial menu. Note: the group must not be currently selected. - Gauss
Thanks Gauss, that works, although I wish it was slightly more intuitive.

I would have thought that one click would be the grouped while double clicking would select the single token. Now I know what I've been doing wrong and what my players have been also.
Ultimately, I'd like it if they could make it so that a token could emit multiple light sources, but until then, I figure this will work. I just wish it was more user-friendly.
That and the ability to differentiate permissions on light sources rather than tokens and it would be even better, since one character's light source might affect another character's vision.
I'm afraid I am not following you there Derek, can you give an example?

Derek, you can differentiate permissions on light sources by assigning control of the light source to whoever should be able to see it. Leave the 'all players can see' box unchecked. - Gauss
That doubleclick/single-click thing is what I've been doing wrong too. Thanks, ubermod/tip-ninja Gauss!!

Matt, an example: if a human is holding the torch, and an elf is in the party, the elf should be able to see the light at twice the distance as the human. Even if your suggestion was followed and each token could emit multiple light sources, there'd be no way to have the human token emitting a light source that was invisible to the human, but visible to the elf, unless each light source has a permission set independent of token permissions.
Ah, I understand what you are saying now Derek. That is a good point, as my idea would not solve that particular problem.

This is not a suggestion thread hence I was responding to how to use things. If you would like to suggest something I would post it in the correct forum.  To be clear, here is how to do darkvision and low-light vision using current tools: Darkvision: Set the token's light radius normally. Do not checkmark the 'all players can see' box. Only players that can control that token will see out to the limit of the light radius.  Low-Light vision: Set the Token A's light radius normally. Checkmark the 'all players can see' box. Create a second token ("Token B").  Set Token B to be controlled by those players with low-light vision.  Set the Token B's light radius to double that of Token A (assuming D&D/PF style low-light vision). Do not checkmark the 'all players can see' box.  Group Tokens A and B together.  Result: Players that do not have low-light vision will be able to see only Token A's light radius. Players that do have low light vision will be able to see Token B's light radius (and Token A's but that wont matter).  To move the grouped tokens, double click on the group. To bring up the radial on a grouped token, deselect the group (if selected), hold down Alt and click on the desired token.  - Gauss
Thanks Gauss, sorry didn't mean to turn this into a suggestion thread, the thing just cropped up naturally.
