Hey guys! I've roleplayed in the past both online and tabletop but I haven't done much in a long, long time and I've had bad luck with online games that tend to fizzle out not long after starting. As a result I have basic knowledge of Dark Heresy, D&D 3.5, Call of Cthulhu and Dragonage RPG. I'm looking to get into any of those but DH and D&D would be my preference. I love games where the characters have 'realistic' motivations as opposed to "I will kill everything I see because I can". Games where the big bads they go up against may not be defeatable at the time, or where NPCs have their own motivations and politics for things they do. I like intrigue and scenarios where characters may have to come up unconventional means to salvage a situation. Games where if players manage to roll really well when it matters its a big deal, where defeating a dragon or a demon is a majorly impressive achievement instead of "Eh, that's standard adventuring stuff". I'm in the GMT timezone, but I'm willing to work with others to fit in with any other time zones, I have more flexibility at weekends.
