NOTICE: Changing regular session day.

Starting two days from now, Wednesday, Palace of the Vampire Queen games will be held on Wednesdays at 6:00pm . Norm will be taking over my old timeslot and running Durthos, City of Adventure on Fridays at 6:30pm . His first game will be this Friday. Those of you who can't make it on Wednesdays can play on Fridays instead, those of you who prefer Wednesdays don't need to play on Fridays, and those of you who want every opportunity to play the game can play between both. To travel between locations your characters will make use of archon gateways to be explained on Wednesday's game (or Friday if you are unable to make it). Be sure to join the Durthos campaign if you want to play those days.

Do we just need to PM him to ask to join or what? I've only been able to get into campaigns by being invited so far. Also, I can't find it. EDIT: AHA! I figured it out, Norm had a link in another topic that led me to it and joined and such, I'll link it here. https://app.roll20.net/join/641154/IxjJWw
The links only last a day or less.
if link doesn't work, pm or email me njharman@gmail.com
I didn't know that, I wasn't sure how to join a campaign other than being invited, I thought I figured it out with that link thing, but my bad. Still useful for a day or so tho.

Awesome, I'll be there Norm - after I hopefully get some books signed by The Eternal Champion.
Aw, damn I forgot about Moorcock. I don't really want his signature but wouldn't mind hearing read/talk. Is that at book people at lamar and downtown? Were good at derailing topics...

So we can bring over our current character or start a new one.. Will our current character get nerfed if we travel between games? Does that affect weeks where we opt to have temple duty?

Norm, yeah he's at that one. I'm excited about joining your game but Moorcock influenced my fantasy tastes much more than Tolkien and Howard. Now, if I can fight the urge to be lazy and just go home and game :P.

Does that affect weeks where we opt to have temple duty? You can bring a current character OR start a new one. If your character is doing a downtime activity, they will be busy doing that activity instead of adventuring in Norm's game. In my prior games with Norm he has kept precise time tracking of the game world and moon-cycles, but since my downtime rules are based on real life days and weeks, the in-game length of time a downtime activity takes is variable.
Kevin was saying something about only Lawful characters can go between games? I don't see that written anywhere, but is that the case?

Looks like that was the Emancipation of the Golden Dragon campaign.
Any alignment may go between games. There are portals in major cities (Durthos, and maybe Strongmor up to Steven) that provide instant transportation and powerful beings Archons limit what can be brought (holding it safely in "limbo"). This is concession to allow easy transfer between campaigns and allow DMs to limit what is brought into their game. I too follow the real life time passes thing. Sharing game world, have to be looser in time tracking. I will post how may in game days pass on my game day, exclusive of RL days between games. Other DMs can use or ignore this. Characters doing extended downtime (such as Imin joining Kings Calvary) or disallowed from adventuring (such as exhausted from mind meld) should not play in any PE campaign. RPwise between the two online campaigns I think something like this. Peeps hanging out at warehouse on Stilttown, shinny up armor, copying spells, etc. Get a little bored so, portal over to Durthos, hooking up (or not) with some locals and get into some trouble and portal back (assuming not dead, in jail, lost, etc) in time to go explore Vampire Palace. The main point is to make it easish to move characters around While also respecting each DMs game.
So the whole days that pass exclusive of RL days between games, can they thereby speed up people on downtime?
No. My real life day thing is real life days. No modifiers, no pretend days, just straight real days.
Just out of curiousity, is your game on Wednesday going to start at 6:00 PM CST, or will 6:00 PM CST be the prep time and actual game starts at like 7:00 PM CST? Important for me to know because I get off at like 5:00 PM EST and wanna know how much time I have to eat and do other things, good to know if it's prep time, because I can skip some of that.
I prep at 5pm, by 6pm we should be underway.

I'll be able to make all of these Wednesday games at first but sometime in February I'll just be attending every other one.
Norm!... I'm just going to start a new character. Ondraedon is not a fan of the city. I'll be able to quest on Wednesday and Friday until my wife gets sick of it.
Either way I'll get to play with you Freddy.

Chaos Clerics can be awesome, just not healers. They are pretty good at killing people though.
