Whisper macro Help

I have tried a few macros for whisper from gm to player and I cannot get them to work. Here is what I have tried: /w @{target|character_name} ?{message here} It functions but not as a whisper. All players can see the message. Any Ideas? Bobby

What if you try: /w "@{target|character_name}" ?{message here} Also, try it without the /w and see if the @{target} is expanding as you expect it.

The first one targets the player and send the message to player ( (To Kylar): What I wrote.) all can see and I get the bleep sound. The 2nd one without the /w: i get a message that is silent but it says: Bobby (GM): "Kylar" what I wrote

Hmm. I'll have to try it from my computer and post back.
What browser are you using, if you don't mind me asking? At the moment, between this issue, and your roll one, you seem to be having a problem with targeting.
Sean, I use Chrome and Firefox..Usually Chrome. FYI: The whisper macro did not work while all of the others were. The targeting is fine with the whisper macro. it just is't a whisper as it is visible by all players.
I was merely looking at it from the point of view that your other one wasn't working as well, which also was a target macro. As to the whisper, I'm not sure... I'll try logging into my dummy test account and see if it works on mine.
Well, I tested it on my dummy account, and it worked fine. This is perplexing. Has this always been a problem, or has it worked for you previously?
It hasn't worked for me from the beginning. I only acquired it last Saturday to use during our episode. When I tried it. all of the players say they can see the message.

Sean, Your like a Mechanic...(When you have something wrong with your car yet it is fine when you take it in)I don't have anyone to test it with right now however it just targeted and sent the message to the targeted token and was silent. Is there a way I can test this myself as gm?
The only way really to be sure, is to have a second log in, or second person. Log in with that account, and then use the macro. If it doesn't see anything, give the account ownership of a character, as if you were a player. Test again to that specific character, and see if you receive it on the dummy account. Then, use the macro again on a character it doesn't have control over and see if it sees it.
I use several whisper macros I use target|token_name in mine: wGM allows players to communicate with the GM with the press of a button, they just type whatever they want and only you and the character know about it. /w GM ?{Briefly"| Nevermind.} @{selected|token_name} wCH any person with a character sheet can whisper to any token, the controlling player only receives the whisper. by using a click they target the whisper. Notifies all that something was said, but not what was said. @{selected|token_name} speaks low. /w @{target|token_name} ?{"What"|um} /w[language] For every specific language in your game, elvish/klingon/whatever, make a character sheet and give control of that sheet to all players who understand that language. Give the macro to all of those who can speak it. Click character token, click macro, enter text, all who understand the language, others just get the babble line. /w Elvish ?{Say Something|"blah, blah"} /em @{selected|token_name} is babbling in Elvish

My whisper command macro is: /w @{selected|character_name} ?{message} and works fine for me. I think {target} should work fine as well, though you should pay attention that the persons to see the whisper will be everyone under the section [Can Be Edited & Controlled By ] in the character sheet of the selected/target token. If noone is there, only the GM will see the message. Also, if you get an error message, it may be because you haven't set [Represents Character] in the Edit token section.
