LFG. Relative newbie looking for 3.5, but willing to try 5e. Can only meet monthly. EST.

Hello everyone, Like the post says, I'm looking for a group to meet about once per month to play 3.5e. I am pretty inexperienced in table top RPGs in general. I have played a few separate sessions (all 3.5), and have greatly enjoyed them all, but have not gotten to stick with a campaign as long as I'd like due to people moving, not wanting to play, etc. Work and a new family take up a good deal of my time, but I've always wanted to play DnD more extensively. Although I would not mind some shorter campaigns or one shots (actually a few of these for practice would do me wonders!), playing in a more long term campaign is my ultimate goal. If there are any DMs out there wanting to start a campaign that meets monthly and are welcoming to newbies, then please let me know! It will be a learning experience for me no matter what, so I'm willing to try 5e or even Pathfinder (that's similar to 3.5, right?) if that's what's available in lieu of 3.5. I look forward to hearing from someone! (please!)

There are a lack of monthly games on roll20 since most people play weekly. There are quite a lot of bi weekly games that you might want to look at if your have the time but if you want monthly you might want to not restrict yourself to just D&D. Your other option would be joining a large community/group that has multiple hosts that post so many times a week to gather people to play. This way when you know you have a day off you can look if anyone is hsoting a game that day but most of these groups are pathfinder however.
Would also help to know which days you are free. I know there are some monthly groups playing weekends.
Could be free on a Friday or Saturday evening/night.
