Looking to run Mutants and Masterminds One Shot ::: Anime Themed Game ::: - 06:00 GMT (Central Time)

I have played a little Mutants and Masterminds. I'm a fan. I have not had a lot of experience with the system yet, but I have been role playing for a little over a decade, and run a couple of games with moderate success. I'm looking to take my first step into a new style of play. A comedic game with moments of light-hearted character development, inter weaving stories, and combat of epic, deadly proportions with heroes as dangerous as the villains. I have just ordered the Mutants and Masterminds book, and looking to find some people with zero, some, or all the experience with the system who are willing to get a feel for the game together, and bare with me through some unavoidable mistakes. I'm not perfect, I won't claim to be, and this is a learning curve. This may turn into a handful of one shots with the option of recurring PCs and non player characters both ally and opposed. I'm also open (if it turns into something I really enjoy after more experience) to making something long term. Maybe a single arc, maybe something more like a full season of a show, or hell, a full on campaign to last the year. The right group and right fun makes it possible. Is there anyone with a katana ready to use, a ki blast to fire, or a skirt to magically transform into?
What day would this be on?
Decision to be made by players once we have a few.
Never played, but I looked it up and it sounds fun. I'd be into it.
I'm pretty new to tabletops, and if the day was right I'd like to possibly join.
Consider me interested.
I would propose a Sunday game, myself. Central time zone, early-mid afternoon running into early evening. I figure a four or five hour session to play around with the characters and just see how it goes.
I could do a sunday session, as long as I'm done by 8 EST. I have another campaign then.
I am new to tabletops and I am really interested in joining the group to get some experience under my belt. I can make almost anytime work.
So I have a single player interested in running on a Sunday afternoon in the near future. Do I have any others willing to make that day available in the next couple of weeks. Actually, making it available TWICE in the next couple of weeks. I'd like to get everyone together the week before to kind of talk about what all everyone wants out of a game so I can look to what I have in mind, and not sell the game short to anyone with a certain expectation in mind.
I would be interested in this, as I have wanted to try out Mutants & Masterminds myself. I don't have any experience with the game itself, but the idea of an anime themed game intrigues me. One question though, is that 6pm Greenwich mean time?
Sorry, no. Negative six hours from GMT. Central US Time Zone
I'm good with Sunday games as well. And I think the getting everyone together before is a good plan.
I can make Sunday Games work too
I can do Sunday.
Sorry for the weekend silence. Extra day at work and then a big Sunday dinner with family. Kept me a little preoccupied, so I'm just getting a message back to you guys. Going to put something together for an idea.... I'm currently leaning to running modern/sci-fi blend story, though open to most anything. Please keep eyes open for an invitation to join discussion.
