Seeing if there is any interest in a slow text-only DnD 5e game

Looking for 3-5 players. How we'd play the game : I'd like to do this over skype and the Roll20 site. We'd have individual chats where you can do things on your own in the adventure like shopping or thieving from other players and what not. And a group chat where you can debate and do actions. On the roll20 site, you'll do your rolls for your own honest and then you'll have to just trust i'm doing my rolls behind the scenes truthfully (although i will do some rolls in public atm not sure which rolls those will be). This isn't meant to be your game night just a fun thing to do on the side. Information on the game : Story-driven / Splitting party is a viable option / Follow the rules of DnD 5e / World will be created by me but from how you guys create your characters (background) / I will have a crude map up for a miniature system / For solo missions, the crude map may be sent over skype and we can have a chess battle type thing where we say "i move to B7 and shoot my bow at D9" / You could potentially do a couple turns in a row if you account for multiple outcomes / Critical Hits and Critical fails will be fun Information about DM (me): I am a 25 yr old male. I am southern California based I will usually have time to do this 7-9 pst (don't expect me to be there doing it for those 2 hours it will still be sporadic) but I may send responses at other times during the day as well. So that's why it's slow and also unreliable/unpredictable. I am new to DM but I want to make a fun and challenging adventure for the adventurer's. I want to make it more story driven but that's not saying there won't be much combat, cause as a player I love combat. Requirements for players : you must be patient, must be fine with reading, must be able to do at least one turn a day Preferences for players (you DO NOT have to fit these just letting you know preferences): 17-30 yrs. old / new to new-ish at roleplaying games / you got interested in DnD by youtube videos ala Rollplay or PAX / people who won't rule monger or lawyer too much / a couple or friends would be better just to make turns go quicker between players / people looking to have slow fun haha Go ahead and reply with a character sheet and paragraph about yourself in this topic or DM me. Also let me know if you'd want the party to be 3, 4, or 5 players.
I just dipping into TTRPG's, know nothing of the D&D systems, but I would like to give it a whirl. Depending on the time requirments throughout the day as I do have a family life.

There is about 160 text chat players. You might be able to scare up some players there also
@Jonathan D. that's fine. I'm looking to make this game just a nice thing on the side where you might see a message and be pleasantly surprised that you get to make a turn. Right now, I'm not making it a set day where we all reserve a certain amount of hours. Instead, just have it be when you have time you make your turn. @Pat S. Just joined the group I'll see about posting something there. Thanks. For "applications," I don't need a character sheet yet just maybe a background of the character you want to make and then a couple sentences about yourself IRL and/or friends
I'd be interested in playing, but I have no knowledge of 5e or any PDFs of the book(s.) I much prefer 3.5e, but interested nonthless
Hi i would love to join this campaign.
I'm interested! This sounds like it actually may work fairly well with my current schedule, which doesn't give me many large chunks of time to sit down and play. I'm fairly new to tabletop games, having played a little D&D (3.5e). I've recently been reading up on on 5e, so I have some familiarity with that.
Cool, looks like we have enough interest. If you're interested go ahead and post here or PM me and I'll let you know if there is an opening. Here's a link for the basic rules of D&D 5e http://dnd.wizards.com/articles/features/basicrule...
Heya, if you've got space for another person I'd love to join. Have played some 5e before but looking to learn more!
