Id like to be able to edit 5-10 player macros as GM

My group is my old dnd table group from years back. A couple of them arent as computer savvy with Macros. Id like to set up standardized combat macros for their abilities (im very macro savvy and i have more free time). As GM I cant edit their macros for their characters. Id like for the characters sheets to have a row of macros editable by the gm as well as the player along the bottom.

As GM you can make Macros outside the character sheet. Then you can tell the Players how to make your GM-Created-Macros to appear across the bottom of the tabletop. In this way, Players can use whatever Macros the GM wants to make available and assign to each PC. As GM, go to the Settings Icon (top right of chat). Create the macros you want. On each macro you create, assign visibility to All Players. If you are making a macro that's only for the Clerics then you could just assign visibility of that macro to only the Clerics players, Hobbits only, Player 6 only, and so on. You can also make macros that are for the GM only. On game day, tell your Players "Go to the settings icon at the top-right. Checkmark Everything under the heading Macros that says IN BAR and checkmark where it says SHOW MACRO QUICK BAR." That's the key step! I've told that instruction to dozens of players. Once they "get that" once, they're good on macros from then on. Note that their Settings tab will ONLY display the Macros that you, the GM, have assigned Visibility to that player. So you can safely tell them "CHECKMARK ALL THE MACROS THAT YOU SEE" and it will add all the macros that each player needs, that you have assigned, along the bottom of their screens. Your secret GM macros won't be visible for them to checkmark. Your hobbit-only macros won't appear as checkmarks for the non-hobbits. I'm 80% sure this fulfills what you wanted to accomplish. If this resolves your needs, you can recover your vote and hide this thread by subtracting your +1 vote. If this doesn't resolve your needs, or if you feel your suggestion is something more (especially since you asked to be able to do this ON the character sheet, but what I described is actually on the Settings tab instead), by all means please keep your suggestion thread up. Your suggestion is valid.
This still wont let me edit/clone his incorrect macros and copy them which is what i want to do.

Here is a sample one so you know what we are doing. We use very little of the character sheets other than ac hp and speed as right now they are kinda cumbersome. ------------------------------------------------------------------- Jason Folklor feints and uses 1 superiority die to make a Longsword Attack (feint attack) /roll d20+6 (if advantaged/disadvantaged) /roll d20+6 if it hits /roll 1d8+1d8+4 slashing damage occurs if it crits add /roll 1d8 more damage to the target ------------------------------------------------------------------ simple and to the point. I want him to set them up and ill proofread them and make corrections. He doesnt have as much time as me to do it.

I dont want to write all of them from scratch when i dont have his full character sheet with me. and im not sure id want to explain to him what you just wrote. So far hes written maybe 3 macros. I want to be able to edit them and help him without him having to mail them to me in a mail program. Hes very hard to get ahold of (aside from maybe long distance calls which i dont want to make).
each player is running two characters fyi

David D. said: This still wont let me edit/clone his incorrect macros and copy them which is what i want to do. That's the heart of your Suggestion then, I feel. I do understand the dilemma. I think that your suggestion is really that you'd like for the GM to be able to edit macros that the Player has written. You are correct that you cannot edit macros they already started to write on their own, in the current system, and changing that is a good suggestion. You said you don't want to have the player Email you the macros they started to write, and you don't want to author them yourself from the start, and those are the only 2 ways I can think of doing it until this gets changed.
That's why I have my players make all their "macros" as abilities(on the attributes and abilities tab of their character sheet, instead of under the settings pane for the campaign) instead. It gives the GM the ability to check their math, and help them with any other problems that might come up writing them. Anything that will work as a macro will work as an ability exactly the same way. I do think it would be nice to have the ability to share macros that have already been created as such between players though...

yep i did that (thanks that worked out ok from my end so far) and they are set up now. All that would have to be added then is the ability to drag those abilities from the character sheets to the bar (or another icon bar for each character maybe) below for quick access without using the character sheet. Its easier with two screens as you can use one for the map and another open to the character sheet etc. I think my friend sometimes is working from a small laptop lcd so the macro buttons on the bottom of the screen are ideal. (Im using a 3 hd led monitor setup)
