Handling Handouts! (PDF's, .docs etc)

Hi all, There are a few posts about handling PDF's etc for handouts and character sheets and a friend of mine showed me how he handles his using DropBox. (Thanks Mr G!) 1. Create a free dropbox account, set up a folder for your campaign and add whatever file(s) you want to use as a handout to this folder. 2. Then go to the particular file you want using the dropbox web portal (that is go to the dropbox website and log in). To the right of this file is a symbol for a link (two chain links), select this. 3. On the new page that pops up click the box that says 'Copy Link to this Page' 4. In Roll 20 select Journal and ADD + Handout - change the description to whatever you need but in the Description and Notes use CTRL + V to paste in the link from the dropbox file. Save changes. 5. Now whenever a player clicks on the handout (assuming you remember to set the player visibility of the handout) they get a popup box asking them to click on a link - that link will open whatever document you placed in dropbox! Hope you find this useful - I certainly did!
Thanks Alan, I'll have to try it. I use a lot of pdf (mostly editable ones) to record lots of things during play (and my players too), it could be the solution for some problems. If I adapt the pdf I have for a screen format, it would solve all my problems of character sheets and recording.
