Hi Scott. The GM needs to enable permissions for any journal/character sheets and handouts. The GM can only do this after a player has joined the campaign at least once.

Does your player controlled token have site enabled? Is there a light source that players can see? As the GM are you using fog of war? Just a few things to check.
