New Player Looking for Group

I have no experience with tabletop rpgs, but I'm really looking to learn. If anyone is willing to admit a noob into the group, let me know. I like to think I can pick it up pretty quickly. I'm fairly flexible as regards the time I can play. I don't care what game I play, but to keep from having to learn multiple games at once I'd prefer limiting it to GURPS or DnD. Thanks for your help.
Man, I'm having a tough time finding something!
i'm with you. I'll let you know if I find anything, and I hope you'll do the same.
Will do!
I've found it difficult as well. In my new city, the gaming is strictly video games or magic cards with no interest otherwise, and Skype games with friends from back home are proving to be too difficult to organize time-wise. I was hoping webbased systems like this would help. Perhaps if enough new players with interest continue having group finding troubles we can pull something together and muddle through the first game or so as a group of noobs. That's probably going to rely on some brave DM/GM though. Keep me posted as well, if you don't mind. I'll do the same.
If you have seen my Thread about GM's being burned by players, I feel this is part of this. I am lucky to be able to get enough friends that this is working out, but I am gaining little interest in getting new players because of this. This site will stabilize after awhile, but it peaked a month ago when Roll20 was hitting it's beginning strides. With so many Virtual Tabletops coming out, people are bandwagon jumping from The last problem is everyone wants to play, no one wants to DM. There are 3 of you here looking for games, if one of you DMed you have 2 players and I know you could easily find a 4th. As a new GM unless you just have a lot of control issues like I did, run it from a module. Everything is there at your finger tips and as you get better you can start creating your own campaign.
