LFP: NIGHT'S BLACK AGENTS: Tuesdays 7:00 EST

You: burned agents, spies, ex-analysts, black-baggers, and infiltrators. Me: the present day, modern techno-thriller, vampire conspiracy. From Pelgrane Press: Night’s Black Agents brings the GUMSHOE engine to the spy thriller genre, combining the propulsive paranoia of movies like Ronin and The Bourne Identity with supernatural horror straight out of Bram Stoker. Investigation is crucial, but it never slows down the action, which explodes with expanded options for bone-crunching combat, high-tech tradecraft, and adrenaline-fueled chases. Looking for 4-5? Let me know!
what kind of vampires are we talking about? are they sexy? or are they monsters? i mean you say right out of bram stoker, but i've heard that before, so i feel the need to double check. will all agents be mundane (nobody in the Borne movies were all of them were on super drugs) like anyone from burn notice? or will they have access to powers and gimmicks like magic, genetic diversity, or super science?
These vampires are HORRIBLE. The GM (me) will create their own - ranging from mutated vampires, supernatural vampires, damned vampires, or alien vampires. Agents: capable - and decidedly unmagical - badasses - on the level of Bourne, Westin, Bond, etc.
okay i don't know what any of those ranges you listed for vampires actually mean. i mean clearly it was an answer to my question but not one that i can understand. do the vampires have human motivations? or are tehy all just motivated by hunger? are the vampires things we might be expected to deal with? will we be expected to understand them? forgive them? feel sorry for them? love them? or not? to be clear, they can still be beautiful, blood the last vampire is a great example of vampires as monster that can still appear beautiful, but these vampires are in no way forgeable, understandable or anything entertain-ably less than monsters, even the so-called "good" ones are only useful as weapons. is a dead vamp always a victory (albeit one of relative value)? or will there eventually and unavoidably be tortured immortal souls we must ally ourselves with?
You are a burned spy, investigating a global vampire conspiracy. These questions are ones investigated throughout play. These bloodsuckers are after money, power, and blood.
I understand learning about things in play, but i don't what to invest only to find out the setting annoys me. sadly without more information, i can't sign on. despite teh idea of playing covert vampire huners sounding awesome.
