Looking to Start a New Pathfinder Game

Hey! Fairly experienced GM here! I'm looking to start a new homebrew campaign on here. Here's information on the world the campaign takes place in. Here's my artistic friend's rendering of the continent map. Here's a link to a gallery of the cities' sigils. No foreknowledge of the world is necessary to play, I'm just posting it in case anyone is interested in reading it. Here's some background on what I'm looking for: 4-6 players who can regularly make it to meetings. Mature players interested at least passively in the story and furthering their characters' goals (as opposed to just meta-gaming for the best gear). Basic understanding of Pathfinder's rules going into the game. It's fine for this to be your first game, but make sure you understand combat (flanking, how combat maneuvers work, when something usually has cover, etc.) and how to make a character. There's always going to be a lot of rulebook durdling, but it's best when we're all on the same page. I enjoy helping new people get into the game, but make sure you do your part to read the rules. Players who want to pay attention to combat so we don't have to play "Oh, it's my turn? What happened?" every round. Here's my campaign plans and rules for character creation and stuff: Pretty much all first-party Pathfinder stuff made by Paizo is fair game for character creation, but anything not coming from Core, APG, Ultimate Magic/Combat/Equipment, or the Advanced Race Guide should be asked about first. I do have some explicit bans for stuff: Classes: No Summoners (too easy to accidentally or intentionally outshine party), and no Gunslingers, Samurai, or Cavaliers (too boom or bust to plan for reliably) Races: No Drow Nobles or rolling on the Tiefling/Aasimar random trait tables (but regular Tieflings/Aasimar are fine, as are their choosable alternate racial traits). Feats: No Leadership or Antagonize. A race I made, the Anubites , is available to you to use for player characters, if you want to. 20-Point Buy for Ability Scores Max Hit Die at Lvl. 1 for HP. 2 Traits (Must be from different categories and please no Rich Parents as it clashes with the background of the campaign). Standard Pathfinder Deities (Not required, but the deities are known to exist, mostly, in my world, so not worshiping one is a non-trivial decision.) Everyone will start with practically no gear at the beginning of the campaign , so you will need to eventually find or buy whatever you plan on using as you go along. However, you'll be able to get up to speed on normal starting stuff pretty quickly. No need to punch rats for 2 sessions... Also, you won't start with any money. I'm aware that this impacts certain classes much, much more than others, but the starting scenario is resolved pretty quickly. Have no fear. I don't track XP manually. Rather, I just have everyone level up at major story parts, between sessions. It seems much easier that way. Planned Play Time: Tuesdays at 9PM EDT, starting as early as Tonight if and only if we have enough people. If you can't play tonight and/or can't make Tuesdays and/or can't make 9PM EDT, have no fear. I have a lot of times I can run this, so post when you will or won't be available. Sessions can be anywhere from 2 hours to 6 hours, probably between 2 and 3, but it depends entirely on the party. So, yea... That's that. If anyone has any questions, comments, or concerns let me know. I probably didn't mention something important. Edit: We'll try to use Skype if everyone can get it. If not, the regular chat will suffice. It doesn't matter what you use for creating character sheets as long as the information is fairly standard and readable. Myth-Weavers is good, as are many Google Docs based sheets, editable PDF's, and Hero Lab output. In any case, make sure you can digitally send me a copy of your sheet.
I'm interested in joining, how do we sign up? 9PM EST on Tuesdays works great for me. How late do you expect sessions to go?
Tuesday evenings would work great for me. This would be my first campaign, however I have been reading the core books in anticipation of finding a group. Do you use the roll20 audio or something like skype/mumble/teamspeak?
@M K. - Just post your interest and, once there is no conflict, I'll send people campaign invites. @David J. - Skype is much more reliable than the built in audio program, so I would prefer that if we can get people who have it. Though, whether I will be able to speak may vary, so I might have to personally communicate by text if whatever going on near me is too distracting or my girlfriend is sleeping or something. That'd be a less likely case, though. I'll always be able to hear you guys, regardless.
Does gender have anything to do with characters? i.e. im tired of playing males and want a female character P.s. Weekday evenings or weekend anytime works for me at the moment, schedule might fork me over in the future so ill let you know if it does in advance.
I'd love to join too. Where should I send character info?
I'm definitely interested, I have massive experience with all DnD editions and many other systems (GURPS, Rift, etc.) and I feel pretty comfortable jumping into Pathfinder. I can definitely be here for tonight as well, I live EST and will be getting home around 8:45 and I'll hop on immediately. I'll take a look at the pathfinder sources and figure out a character idea beforehand.
If possible, create a sheet on Myth-Weavers and put the link here. However, Myth-Weavers needs you to sign up and you need a non-Yahoo-ish email address. Failing that, do what you can to put the sheet into link form (Dropbox?). If no options exist, email it to me at mjdgoldeneye@yahoo.com.
I think I've got to call sign-ups there. I've gotten a few PM's asking to join as well as interest here. It looks like we've got 7 people already, which means we can have 1-3 people drop (usually somebody has something come up or a schedule changes between sign-ups and the end of the first few sessions) and still have a solid group. 7 is a lot, but we can make do if we manage the unlikely feat of having 7 committed players... haha 9PM EDT will be the start time for this. I actually need to go objectively plan stuff and build dungeons, and looking over sheets and setting up macros takes a while, so tonight might be half initial set-up and half actual play (which seems to be normal for a first session).
Damn, missed it by two minutes. I'd be interested if you somehow find an opening.
I'll let you know if people drop out. Getting a steady group on Roll20 takes a while, so it's not unlikely that you'll be able to join within a session or two.
So it seems full. Is it cool if I sit in? Even if it's full it'd be good to see how things go even if not playing just yet
Yea, that should be alright.
I would be interested as well, your setting seems pretty solid and i'm looking for a new pathfinder game, so if you get an opening (after others in line) hit me up.
