Gauging Interest in Possible Dark Conspiracy/Conspiracy Rules Game

Link to LFG is now open! Conspiracy Rules is the third edition of the GDW classic Dark Conspiracy While the current rulebook could use a little extra editing, the game is solid and can be tons of fun. For those unfamiliar with the game, think a dark, near-future world where governments fight corporations for power, the homeless sell their votes for three-squares, a cot, and a few cable channels, and a handful of people take up arms to fight monsters of both the human and inhuman kind. That's the brief without giving too much away for anyone interested. Groups playing with minimum meta-knowledge or able to keep the meta out of their character's heads can be the most fun. I'm also hoping to test some new rules I'm working on for the game, ulterior motive revealed, so I'm very interested in players both new and old who might want to join me at a table. These rules are sanctioned by 3Hombres, and if I can get the feedback and critique I need will hopefully be published fairly soon, making them semi-official at the moment.

Removing this post as I am NOW looking for a group for a game here. Links to game and posting are further down, and will be added to the OP at the top as well.
What's the difference between the editions of Dark Conspiracy? I know that the 2e split it up into a player and referee handbook, but were there any changes to the actual game or?

There weren't any real changes between 1st and 2nd. It was a non-update in my mind. The only thing you can really say about 2nd was that they combined the old PC Booster kit into the rulebook. Mostly, the current edition tweaked the careers and overhauled the contact rules. They also put a more solid mechanic into gear availability. The fundamental mechanics remain the same. Although they did attempt to add some new armor rules, but they never followed through so there is a phantom paragraph or two that they'll hopefully remove during revision (which is going on now, according to one of the 3Hombres writers I was speaking with). The current publisher is a tiny operation, so they ended up rushing things slightly. That rush meant that a couple of gear items were left off by mistake as well as the previously mentioned armor rules they wanted to update. I'm begging them to fix the broken initiative rules before releasing the revised 3e book...but the community all have different opinions on how to work that out. They did put in some nifty new advanced weapons. There is an extremely active group on Facebook which makes it easy to ask the community and the 3Hombres staff questions. Although Demonground is no longer the fanzine of record, Protodimension has risen up to take it's place. Be warned, they love to pick on Florida, which just has too many weird stories daily in the news. Oh, and just because I've been enjoying it so much that I love to promote it, folks should check out the digital comic Remnants , available on DriveThruComics. Self-published by old-school fans of the game and heavily influenced by the game.
Played a bunch of 2nd edition and would be interested if anything comes together.
If I do end up putting something together, I'd keep an eye out about month from now. I'm willing to give it a go, but I have work/schedule issues right now that I don't know for sure when they will be resolved. Plus, I'd want to plan out an actual storyline. I can say that I would likely go with what I know, so it would end up being set in the New Boswash region (American East Coast, bounded by New York, Boston, and Washington D.C., for those unaware of that name). Beyond that I don't have any specific thoughts, but would likely want to do a Session-0 to develop the group. Oh, geeze, I want to run a game bad, I just don't have a set schedule available to me...so I might just open a real LFG post with a start date TBD. At least to get people bouncing character/party ideas around, which gives me somewhere to plan from.
Okay, I'm opening an official campaign which I'm working on now. I want to do a session-0 ASAP, and can easily adapt some of the pre-printed adventures if we're ready to go before my own original material is started up. https://app.roll20.net/campaigns/details/693935/sh... https://app.roll20.net/lfg/listing/21609/shadows-o...
