Looking for players for Sat. afternoon games (2:00 PM EST, US); DnD Next; campaign mostly new

Hey all; As I post this, we've only had 1 session of this campaign, so its pretty new. We already have about 3 people in the party, so I'm really only looking for at most, 2 more, to help spice the game up. The rule system is DnD Next. Rules are free and are here: http://dndplaytest.wizards.com/ Making a character is super easy; just follow the PDF titled "creating a character". We also have have a campaign website at epicwords.com. Send an email to gregsnyder75@hotmail.com, and I can send you an invite to our epicwords site (check junk mail). There you can see what its all about and whether or not you like it. Its got wikis, other characters, etc, and is a good tool to stay organized. A bit about the Campaign: Its very dynamic - one session might be mostly rp, another session might be mostly combat. There can be lots of wilderness exploration. There can also be lots of dungeon crawling. Its very Sandboxish (nonlinear), and so ultimately, up to the players. The background setting is fairly developed, with multiple ongoing background plots that the party can influence, and always contain intrigue/complexity. Its Forgotten Realms, post spellplague, but with a bunch of my own personal blatant changes/twists to the setting, so its partially homebrew, I'd say. Evertyhing you need to know is on the epicwords site. It mostly takes place in the Underdark. Short story so far is that the party has accepted a contract to deliver a package of unknown contents to a receiver in a Svirfneblin city (Kingstone) to prove their resourcefulness. If successful, they have a second contract already waiting lined up - a much more valuable one - involving the search for a powerful artifact known as the 'Eye of Goran', of possible alien origin (doppleganger or neogi, perhaps), in the 'hot zone' city of Blindenstone - a former Svirfneblin city now under drow rule coming from the Drow cities of Menzoborrenzen and Ust Natha. The Svirfneblin are actively trying to take it back, so its dangerous and filled with war. Also, other parties, hired by various private Oligarchs from New Lantan are also seeking the artifact, and won't take kindly to competition. The party currently is working for the oligarch who calls himself Mr. Cringle; but that can change on the party's whim of course. How your new characters fit in: New incoming PCs are hired by Mr. Cringle to meet the party in Kingstone and join up with them as extra hired adventuring contracts in search of the Eye of Goran, as he wants extra assurances of getting a hold of that alien artifact. Again I emphasize though; although the Eye of Goran is the initial 'nudge' just to get our party together and get our campaign going, ultimately the region is filled with points of interest, and you guys can just do whatever you want. I'm a big fan of the 'sandbox' model. Let me know if you're interested; I'd say we could take 2 more at the moment. Cheers.
Oh, and forgot to mention; characters are 1st level; so we need you to make 1st level characters.
For how long are your sessions? 4-5 hours? If so, sign me up.
If enough players want it 4-5 hours long, then I don't see why not. Currently I think everyone is ok with 4-5 hour long sessions, so should be ok. What kind of gamer are you? Do you like heavy story/character background? Heavy RP? Or do you like to just get straight to business and bash stuff? I guess what I mean is, what is your favorite part of DnD? As for 4-5 hours, I would say yes, but probably with a 10-20 min break in the middle somewhere.
I'd say I like a nice mixture of everything. I love a straight dungeon crawl but I find a well planned out RP or straight improve to be enjoyable aswell.
Sounds good to me, I'm more into RP personally, but I like combat too as long as its not just lots of goblins over and over. Are you all using voice or just text? I prefer voice so it goes faster. I'll start looking at character creation.
Also, what classes do you aready have? Would decide what Im gonna roll for.
Current Party Make Up: 1) Human Paladin (I think he's human, can't quite remember, only done 1 session) 2) Human Wizard 3) Human Fighter 4) Drow (High elf/established city) Rogue ((Drow from established cities have same stats as high elves; Drow from Territories have same stats as wood elves, so its balanced. If you wanted to play a Duergar, would use Mountain Dwarf stats. Story being that the spellplague took away most of what made those races special - svirfneblin were somehow untouched, so they're off limits as a playable race) We do use voice over, but usually no cam. Should be a forum on the epicwords site for you to post pictures or links to pictures you want to use for your tokens. I've gotten an email from both of you, so you should get epicwords invites shortly to check it out. You may have to check your junk folder. Let me know if you have any problems. (note, only 1/4 of current party is using epicwords site - been trying to bug the others to use it; its convenient and actually kind of neat)
