Learn to DM 4e: Island of the Frog (Starting 5/21, 8 PM Eastern)

Normally, one can smell a bullywug pirate ship long before it appears on the horizon. You stand in the calli of the Temple of Bazim-Gorag , an ancient ziggurat at the highest point of the Island of the Frog , higher even than the canopy of the treacherous jungle that covers all. From here, you can see the flaming wreckage of your ship in the bay, the overlarge bullywug galleon, The Crapaud , sitting low in the water nearby, its cannons still smoking. Crossing the stretch of sea between the ship and the shore are three long skiffs being swiftly rowed by a motley crew of juju zombie musketeers, led no doubt by the notorious Captain Burrp and accompanied by his elite frogmen. The entrance to the ziggurat’s interior is a gaping stone maw lined with sharp obsidian teeth. There is naught but darkness down Bazim-Gorag’s gullet – darkness and the Great Treasure said to rest in the belly of the temple. From the jungle around you comes a cacophonous din like thousands upon thousands of cicada. Is it getting closer? What do you do? =================================================================== I am hosting this adventure for DMs only. Those who want to learn how to DM, semi-experienced DMs, and old dogs who might pick up a new trick are welcome to apply. The adventure begins Tuesday, 5/21 at 8 pm Eastern . Sessions will last until about midnight. It takes 3 to 5 sessions (one per week on Tuesday's) to complete. If you sign up, you'll be expected to attend them all, so please don't sign up if you can't commit. This is D&D 4e, 5th-level. All legal options permitted. Pregens available. Price of Admission: You have to DM a one-shot for me at some point in the near future. There aren't enough DMs around here. So let's make some!
Very interesting. I'm tempted; I've only been DM a couple of times for friends in short lived adventures, and I'll assume they were generous in giving me time to run it. I've been looking to DM a game with peeps I don't know, but it's too intimidating to be honest. I might be in if you'll have me, but I need to think about it. Don't want to not hold up on my end of the bargain.
So if you give me some time to get a story and everything together ill make one might take me some time to get everything to my liking, i think I have something brewing in my mind right now based on shit you do. So what are we in this? Pirates?

So what are we in this? Pirates? Pirates would be just fine. Whatever you think would be appropriate to the cold open I posted above. The pregens are a parrot pirate, a lobster fisherman, an evil bunny rabbit treasure seeker, the son of the Master of the Boat, and a beach bum cleric made out of driftwood. So go nuts. You can post your characters in the campaign forum.
I'm in...Please send me the link.
Invites sent. You guys've played in some of my one-shots so I'll be interested to get your take on this. It's like 3 to 5 Fimbulvetrs in terms of content, but harder. And completely open-ended. Basically figure out a way off the island and good luck.
Two victims potential DMs are working on their heroes as we speak. Who will join them on their quest to escape from the Island of the Frog and learn to DM at the same time?
I am down to play Iserith! Cannot wait to play another one of your games! Edit: I am almost always free on Tuesday nights btw, so i should be able to make them all! Still working on my DnD: Next game so i would be happy to get more experience in DM'ing for it, and would be happy to learn from you! P.S. once it is one you are more than welcome to join it once it is ready!
Excellent. Blessed be that we have so many fools willing to throw their own corpses into the bottomless pit of the Wart Mother. Still... there is room for more. Who else thinks they can escape the Island of the Frog?
This looks great. I've been thinking about trying to DM but Ive never done it and I've only got two years role playing experience. Count me in.
Presuming you guys all post up your characters as per the campaign forum instructions, we're at 4. So that means there's room for 1 more technically (though all slots are still open until the PCs are posted).
