Greetings Roll20, do excuse the wall of text that’s about to fall on you
all.
Some
quick information that needs to get out of the way before I drop into anything
else: The game is on Thursdays 19.30-01.00 (+/-) one hour GMT+1 , its voice based and
uses Teamspeak 3 for communication purposes and Roll20 for the maps.
Now,
hello everyone - I´ve recently after some of my players ended up having schedule
problems over the last few weeks been looking into supplementing my campaign
with more people, the only problem being: The campaign is a quite long one, one
of the primary reasons I´d rather not shut it down (and the fact my other
players enjoy it too much) The campaign started little more than a year ago and
have been running strong for 30-40 sessions since then and have so far in terms
of story-telling just exited out of the prologe into the campaign proper
(players are now around rank 3-4 and are sitting at about 30 PR)
I am
currently in need of someone willing to take the important role of the
Rogue-Trader (you´ll be from the same dynasty as the last one, other than that
all is up in the air - more information will be forwarded to anyone requesting
to fill the role) and another character whom is open for grabs to what-ever
they feel like doing that is reasonable (I do allow splash-books, but I
maintain a final right to clear any purchase before you do it). As a note: The
role of Pilot, Seneschal, Navigator and Arch-militant are currently occupied.
That
said, the campaign is -very- RP focused, and with very I mean VERY, don´t
expect to see combat for maybe 5-6 sessions easily while you deal with the
horrible nature of your ship (I´ll get into benny later) and the various RP
problems that plague a Rogue-Trader from maintaining morale to gaining endless
profit through selling sand.
I
stress this point by saying that if you want to join do so with the mentality
that it’s a campaign where you could spend an entire session just talking about
what-ever on the ship as it travels through the Warp to its destination. It’s a
rather "slow" campaign, not for lack of things to do but for the
design being rather grand in scope and for the characters all having their own
goals and motivations - which I´ll be expecting from your character alongside a
write-up of some questions (this will be forwarded) In addition before I invite
you into the campaign I´d like a one-on-one talk, just to see what you´re
expecting from the campaign - and if you´d fit in)
I might change some cannon around to further the
story, and as the GM reserve my right to change some things around to ensure
the game flows smoothly - if you are a die-hard fan of the lore and refuse to
let even the slightest inaccuracy slide then maybe it ought to be best to find
another game - with that said I won´t change something major, the Emperor is
still on the throne, there is only war a lasgun is a lasgun and its shit etc -
what I mean is that I can´t remember every single minute detail of all
regiments/planets in the world - if I say that you meet the 623th cadian and that
its colonel have black hair I really can´t be arsed to
deal with I
would rather not have to deal with a player coming in and saying:
"Actually according to page 210 of the 3rd edition (revised version) he´s
a she and she´s got brown hair" (this have happened for the record) I
understand the importance of keeping true to the source material but I will at
times takes some liberties - think of my game as detached from the established
canon much like many of the BL books.
You
can expect combat maps for most maps involving shooting - but not all,
sometimes I´ll run the "mind’s eye" version where I´ll describe the
combat, an example of my horrible map building can be found here: http://oi62.tinypic.com/suzj10.jpg its generally this style you can expect from my maps this one
is 80x80 some are going to be larger some smaller. If you are interested in
what I sound like since I´ll be describing the things you see here´s an example:

General
notes in regards to house-rules:
I (by
popular demand of the group) roll everything behind the screen, all rolls
pertaining to your character - corruption, insanity, etc. are all rolled by you
in the open.
We
use the combat rules and stats for weapons from OW (and the healing as well)
Everyone
starts play with one fate-point and don´t roll for it (in return I tend to hand
them out more regularly)
Now
then, for the campaign pitch:
The Benedictus Dominatus is an ancient war-ship with a past heading all the way
back to the dark-years of mankind during the Horus Heresy, she´s served across
countless battlefields and have been lost, recovered and retrofitted so many
times not even the demented machine-spirits keeping her plasma cores alive
remember it fully, she was found by the (in)-famous Bannon Family sleeping in
the void between stars and quickly claimed by one of the younger sons, who
never really realized just what he had gotten himself into.
Queue
the adventures of the crew fighting tooth and nail to acquire manpower, resources
and beating of any rivals grasping for the vessel - all the while countless
factions have showed an uncanny interest in the grand-cruiser from the
Mechanicus to the Ecclisiarchy to the mighty Admirals of the navy and the
enigmatic eldar, all seemingly knowing more about her past then they´d like to divulge.
But
The Benedictus have secrets she´d rather keep to herself and her hull contains
things best forgotten by mortal men, for if the words inscribed on the throne
of her bridge is true beware ye who tries to demand her service - for The
Benedictus Dominatus suffers no master for long .
Now
then - either contact me here or skype under DarkNeroan for more information in regards
to the campaign.
Yours truly.
-F
PS: Plz no bully jack I tried to keep it simple
