Grit 'n Spit: Dystopia in Digital (Custom Post Apoc Game)

Set in the distant future, GS:DD is a post-apocalyptic setting where it's literally you versus the world. Salvage items and craft gear in a diverse world of neo-tech, unlocked magick, and metal rot. Survive the ravaged world of both wastelands and urban dystopia, using whatever you can scrounge up, trade, intimidate, politically gain, or steal. Every action has a reaction, and it's up to you to survive by whatever means are necessary. Affiliate yourself with a number of groups, from raiders, pirates, bounty hunters, government usurpers, syndicates, and more. Taking 4 players currently, May add more if schedules work! New Player Friendly! Diverse Racial System! Gathering and Crafting, Don't just wait for drops! Easy to Pick up, Lengthy to Master! Co-op, or PvP if you wish! Dates are flexible currently, looking mostly at Monday, Thursday, Saturday, and/or Sunday nights. Any experience levels are welcome. Want an idea what you can compare this RPG to? Think Borderlands, with Shadowrun elements. Fallout would also fit the sense of setting. Possibly Knights of the Old Republic in some aspects as well. I like paying homage to other games that have influenced my tastes. A little about myself: I've been RPing since AOL 3.0 some 20+ years ago, and doing DnD, BESM, and other customized RP's over the years, including my previous campaign here with a Final Fantasy based RP. I took a break from R20 here for a few MMO's, but have been disappointed, so now I'm back. I believe a GM Is never the enemy of the player, but only the implimenter of what random chance has to say. That being said, the campaign is not set in a linear path, but is dependent on certain dice parameters to ensure fairness. That's NOT to say there's no story! It all matters on the choices of the players involved. Once Scheduling for everyone is set, campaigns will start whenever character creations are done.
Hello Xarious Short question, which time zone are you playing from? Best regards
I'm playing out of Central, but I won't let that limit my times or availability. Only my own classes and work will do that.

You said there are mages? Can you expand more on that. Also, is this a Voice game or Text game?
Mages are plausible within the game, and are certainly something to work towards. Magic, after all, isn't cheap, and can either work in your favor in survival, or at your detriment if you think you can just spell sling your way through. Some races will be able to have some benefits in using magic, but ultimately it'll be up to the player on how they wish to use it: offensively, defensively, supportively, or more. That, and their coin in order to make more magical properties, if they aren't lucky enough to find some along the way. This game can be done either via text or voice, but text will be the tie that binds. So, if you want to use voice to ask questions and so forth during the game with the GM, you can, but text will ultimately solidify your actions so that it can be logged and remembered.
I'm interested, it sounds pretty unique.

Hi my name is Chris and Im 26 years old. I just wanted you to know Im interested when and what Times would I need to be available I live in ohio so EST is the TimeZone i play from,Also Im a huge Fall out fan and this sounds pretty close to it. I have a mic any chat service you need would just let me know.
No problem. I'll send you each a link to join.
Game is still open for 4 players. 2 invites have been sent, but until they join, there's open seats. 4 is simply the 'minimum' count, and I'll go up to 6 max. Scheduling tends to be a problem when around 6 or more. Days are still currently looking towards Monday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday, near the evenings (between 5 to 7 PM CST or so). Times will solidify on who joins, and their time schedules.
Hey Xarious, I would be interested in learning more about this game. I usually DM games and therefore would welcome the opportunity to participate in a unique campaign.
Sure thing~ I'll send you a link. I'll be happy to answer your questions.
Thanks, I posted some questions in the discussion section for you to take a look at when you have a chance!
Done and Done~
3 seats left for 'protagonist' characters.
2 butts in the seats, 2 more open to sit
Sorry. Your game sounds really cool but I was looking for a voice chat game and not a text RP game. Good luck though, it sounds really cool.
Well, like I said, Voice is used, but Text is set so that we have logs. That way your decisions are viewable and seen for record, and I don't have to second guess myself if you did, or did not, do a certain action.
Looking forward to playing!
1 more seat open~
Table is set for now, thanks to everyone who asked questions and expressed interest. If anyone else wishes to join, they can if they want to play as NPC's. If a slot opens up, or if we can handle more players, I'll post here again.
