Would you like to start creating your character before Saturday? Then I've got some notes for you!
We'll be playing with low, low ability scores. Each player will roll 3d6 six times this Saturday. And we'll start with 0 XP.
We'll begin in the tiny town of Index! There's a boardinghouse for young adults, or you can own a little 80-gold home of your own. Danger and profit are tightly packed into the surrounding area, so the party might never travel for more than an hour at a time.
You're surrounded by lots of stuff to break or to steal, and several societies to build a reputation with too. If your characters aren't very aggressive, the world around you might grow impatient, and so the town might start falling under siege only if you are not out seizing the day.
I mostly prefer rewarding you with on-theme items instead of money to shop with.
There's no reason to worry about anyone powergaming. I'll take responsibility for keeping everyone on a level playing field.
If you'd like to pick a theme for your character, I'll embrace that! If you want to have a poison-resistant character or a character who swims extra well, I will do my best to help your specialties pay off. Hey thanks a bunch for signing up to play. It'll be fun.
