creating custom tokens

how do i make circular tokens without the white background?

edit them in photoshop/gimp as transparent. if that makes no sense to you, send them to me in a PM and I will do it for you :P

I second G.V.'s suggestion. &nbsp;Token Tool is free and very easy. &nbsp;That's how I make all of my tokens.

The transparencies used in the Adventurer Avatars pack of circular tokens I created were accomplished by creating an image on a single layer without a background layer in Photoshop and then saving it in a PNG format. &nbsp;Unlike JPGs the PNG format can support transparencies. &nbsp;I haven't used GIMP but I'd be shocked if it couldn't do the same thing. That being said, Token Tool and various other token creation programs out there are arguably much faster and easier to use if you are unfamiliar with image editing software.

gimp supports transparencies. I've been pulling decent pics off google and converting them to tokens lately. I found a pic of two alligators and stripped the background off it to leave only them and make sure the alpha was set to transparency then exported it to png file type. Now I have two different crocodiles ( you can use them for either) and a token with both of them together also.&nbsp;
