I know there is a previous suggestion for multiple character sheet layouts, but what about allowing two or more character sheets? The justifications (outside of the obvious player sheet, npc sheet, etc), would be for games where there is the character, and a vehicle (be it a mech stat sheet in a sci-fi game separate from the character, or a sailing ship in a nautical or pirate campaign). These secondary sheets could be specially handy in modern or sci-fi games where each character may have their own vehicle (specially in mech type games). Although I can also see a strong case for them in games like D&D (at least older editions, I haven't paid attention to recent editions) where the character stats and monster stats are so different using the same character sheet seems impractical. I also think just about any game could benefit from having a separate sheet for NPCs, and I think BRP (Chaosium) has three sheets, a player character sheet, a somewhat watered down NPC sheet (some detail, but not much), and a barebones NPC sheet for mook type encounters. "Tabbed" sheets can cover the NPC sheet for most games, but support for multiple sheets would be certainly more convenient... Although the main justifications are for games with vehicles as stated above.
