LFP for Torg campaign on Monday nights

Torg is a multi-genre game from the early 90's that I picked up the minute it came out but never got a chance to play it much. A couple friends and I would like to kick off a long-form game on Monday nights starting around 7:00 CST. We are looking for 2-3 more players who are comfortable role-playing. The basics of the game system are easy to learn. Reply for more info.
Are you using Pre gen Characters, Or will there be a Time for getting together for Character Gen.. i have the Pdfs but never had anyone to play with..
I'd like to work with each player to build a character before we play. I'm available Sunday afternoon and evening if you want to try to connect. We would start with Core Earth character templates, tour the realms for a few adventures and then if a player wants to play a character from one of the other realms, we can change that up. I'll be using the 1.5 rules, if you have them. If you have the original rules, the changes for players are minimal and we can address them when we get to them.
Bumpity-bump!
Interested but wouldn't be available until 8pm CST
Bummer. Let's try it but I'm going to end sessions by no later than 10 CST because I work early the next morning and I'm an old fart and need to get to bed early. I'm also looking at running a Sunday night Torg game. Does that work better for you?
Bump Bump Bump!
Oh man, you have no idea how interested I am in this. I've spent the last five years playing in a Torg campaign--it comprises the bulk of my role-playing experience. It's one of my favorite games, and I'm extremely familiar with all of the major (non-cosm-specific) player-facing rules. And right now, I'm free pretty much whenever in the evening. The sword cuts both ways too, though, because I know most of the large canon secrets--in fact, I own the bulk of the Torg books--but I am certainly capable of separating in- and out-of-character knowledge. On the other hand, I never paid too much attention to any of the smaller stuff, or the metaplot for the most part, but I do have passing familiarity with some of the metaplot's high points. Just in the interests of full disclosure.
I get ya, man. I've been there with some of the D&D 2e and all published material. If you can separate for yourself, cool. Also, I will be making some changes to the canon as we go so maybe I can surprise you. But if not, it's still an amazing game. My plan, campaign-wise, is to use Core Earth character templates to start. We will do a few short adventures that will act as a tour of the known Realms. Then I will allow players to switch to characters from other Realms if they wish. So far, you will be the only player with experience with the game world or the game mechanics. This will allow me to introduce the world to everyone. My full disclosure: I've been playing RPG's since the late 70's (yeah, I'm an old fart) and I bought nearly everything Torg-related when it first came out. BUT I've never run more than a couple short adventures, and that was years ago. You have more experience in the game than I do but if you can be patient with me while I get back into it, we'll be fine. We tried a dry run a couple weeks ago and had trouble with video/audio. Others have suggested running the Roll20 game through a Google Hangout. Here's the invite link: https://app.roll20.net/join/619734/bZvrMg If you're interested, I'm free all night to create a character or just compare Torg notes. Any questions? Just let me know.
